Did he ever do Sensible Shoes, Goin' Crazy, or Relentless in 1999 and 2001?

    When I saw him in 1999, the only solo song I remember him doing was Tobacco Road. In 2001, the only solo songs he did were Yankee Rose and Tobacco Road.

    I wish he'd do about half of the DLR Band album live: Slam Dunk!, Lose The Dress (Keep The Shoes), Little Texas, Going Places..., Indeedido, Weekend With The Babysitter, and Blacksand.

    Relentless is a great song, and the lyrical references are more than obvious:

    "All the spine of a chocolate eclair" - Eddie

    "Pencil weenie in elephant's clothes" - Cherone (a play on Eddie's line about Gary having elephant balls )

    Only problem is that Dave pushed that song right out of his own range, even on the album version. I can't see him pulling it off live. And it's a damn shame, because the song kicks ass.
    Eat Us And Smile

    Welcome back, Van HALEN!!!!

    ...It's the BAND and Dave is really the cat that can front VH. He sang his ASS off and was really cool. No cheese here guys, this is filet Mignon! - Steve Lukather's comment after witnessing a Van HALEN 2007 rehearsal

    "What then is this bleating of sheep in my ears?"- 1 Samuel 15:14

    Man, I've got that line pegged as one of Dave's lamest. Right up there with his stupid internet lyrics on Counter-Blast.

    I think Yankee Rose, Tobacco Road and Slam Dunk are the only solo songs Dave has done since Vegas!

    I realize Dave is selling the VH material because it's where the bucks are, but I wonder what he truly thinks of his solo material. There's so much great stuff in there in my opinion, but does he know it?

    I think Slam Dunk sucks

    too bad Dave didn't pursue more stuff like Sensible Shoes--when that song first came out they played it on the radio all the time where I was living.

    </font>
No he didn't.I misread the topic,my bad.He did do the usual Tobacco Road and Yankee Rose.But Relentless and Black Sand would kick ass live!!!If he could pull off Relentless live like FORD suggested it would be a sweet encore.But anyone who has seen him play Sensible Shoes is one lucky MOFO.That is the one song i'm hoping he does this tour even though Dave said he'll do his Halen tunes I still have a glitter of hope.

    There's some cat from England who posts up in this motherfucker an' he claims DLR played "Sensible Shoes," on the European leg of The ALAE Tour '91.
