Why is VH to blame for the stupidity of their fan base?
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Yep, Brett, which sometimes makes me wish you made everyone pay a fee at the door to get in to the show!

It always does get bad when they decide to do something. This time, however, just seems way worse than usual. Maybe it's because I'm getting old!

I wouldn't blame them for the stupidity of the fan base. They are to blame for the divide that exists, though.

Bands replace members all the time, only in Van Halen does it seem to be such a colossal never ending shit fest.

DLR quit to pursue other interests. Good for him, it didn't work out as he planned, but he took the risk and I applaud that. While I disagree with his thought process, you don't fucking quit Van Halen, it took some huge balls to do it.

Sam saw the opportunity of a lifetime and ran with it. Good for him. It worked out better than he could have every possibly dreamed.

Why people have to read more into it than that is ridiculous to me. Get over it already. The same with MA and Wolf. It's just a rock and roll band.

    NOW its the end.....just sad.
I just hope Sam still has some rockin' shoes left in him and gives us a record soon that gets me on my feet again.

I really don't understand why the hold up with CF, they could make it work. Sometimes I think these guys forget that they're all rich as shit.

To address the last part of your comment, I think it has to do with being successful. If they put out a record that loses $, then they see that as a personal failure. If a record doesn't sell, it'd be cheaper and less of a personal failure to release it for free. I've said it before and I'll say it again- I don't care how much $$ they have, artists that put forth the effort deserve the financial reward from it. It's unfair to ask or expect them to do it for free.

If CF had been making records and touring more consistently, there would be more to be excited about and therefore a stronger fanbase IMO. I feel that way about all these bands that don't make records anymore actually. Lately I'm of the belief that bands who decide new music doesn't pay, are not interested in the bigger picture that I'm interested in, as a fan. So I become less their fan, you know?

I hear what you are saying Railrunner, but I will just say that I have no sympathy for a guy who OWNS his own recording studio and has a built in fan base saying he can't afford to do it.

    Bull-fucking-shit.

Lets even forget that he is a multi-millionaire. There are people on this site that record great sounding albums and digitally release them from their basement for costs in the hundreds or low thousands of dollars. What they invest in it is their time and passion.

Artists release their art because it is who they are. The money argument by Sam is cover in my humble opinion, I just don't think he has the desire anymore to go into the studio and create something.

Anything that's CF worthwhile or Van Halen 5150 to Balance worthwhile.

He's content to release rubbish now because it's effortless. He excels at rubbish for the most part.
