I want to hear more Chickenfoot...I really do. I adored their first CD - and still listen to it regularly; simply put, it was good old fashioned, top down, summer time driving music.

The reason for the above thought is because it made me remember how perfectly Anthony and Hagar play together, vocally and w/ their instruments. They're like chocolate chip cookies and milk; just better together. So, if the Circle brings me this, I guess it's a decent second prize.

I DO however think that The Foot will rise again. Joe said that there are plans to record in 2015. I think that Sam is just promoting The Circle like he does everything else; 'what I'm doing RIGHT NOW is the best thing to ever happen to me' ... and in 2015, that thing will be The Foot.

We just got to get Chad back into a room with them and off the Peppers thing...IMO, his talent is wasted there.
Winners come and go; legends are forever.

I wholeheartedly disagree with that. He brings a lot of the Chili Peppers. But nevermind that....the fact is while Sammy is complaining about the costs of making a new album with Chickenfoot because they won't sell many copies the Chili Peppers still have a recording contract with Warner Brothers. They're going in to record the new album soon and then they'll go on a world tour. It's a steady and lucrative job. Why would he leave?

Bullsh!t!! That's what I kept saying as I read the article.

III was a failure due to two things. The first was timing. Chad wasn't available and that really didn't sit well with the fans. Sam knows that. Secondly, the album had a lot of (what I perceived anyway) negativity in the lyrics. If it had been as upbeat and fun as the first album, things would have turned out differently. While I really liked Big Foot, that fun, upbeat vibe didn't carry throughout the album. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the album, but the negativity hurt it.

As for the $$ and time aspect, I'll probably get beat up for this. Lite Roast was done in less than a week and was probably on a shoestring budget. I think I saw it was #5 at Amazon. Granted, these songs have all been previously written, but given these parameters, I think that if CF could show up with their homework done, record an album in a short time frame and release it in the same manner. Then, they could spend more of their budget on marketing instead of studio time. Heck, hire one of the loyal fans to provide an inside view of the inner workings of the recording process. Embrace the internet. This plan would require all members to be committed for the recording and tour.

I get what Sammy means by getting older and only doing short tours. While I really appreciated CF playing in the intimate setting of the TLA in Philly in 2009, I think they're going to have to do really big shows. Shows like Firefly and Montreux. More bang for the buck. They can't forget the big fan base in St. Louis. Perhaps play the Meadowlands or Camden Yards. Big stuff.

So we are supposed to be excited about Sammy playing with Vic Johnson instead of Joe Satriani???!! That is a HUGE difference in talent. Sammy isn't telling the whole story. I don't buy that it is record sales.

Face it folks. Hagar is 67 years old. Dream is Over.

Can't wait for the all cover tunes album followed by the duets album.

...and his rum tastes like the new paneling in my basement smells.

Yeah getting excited about The Circle is like getting excited about Eddie Van Halen scoring porn tracks. Vic for Joe? Wolfgang in drummer form for Chad? Eek. Sorry but when you are playing music created by Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen, Vic Johnson isn't going to cut it. Sorry he is a cover band guitarist. In 25 years I have yet to hear anything from Boham that allows me to differentiate him from other drummers.

I know people will love this band but its very poor substitute for Chickenfoot.

There are so many guitarists and drummers to make a cool band from. Bonham and Johnson is like watching Colt McCoy and Brandon Weeden play against each other.

Satch was the main reason I got so into the first CF effort.
I read on my Blabber mouth ap that Hagar said he sees no reason to record more CF records cause it costs half a million, takes a lot of time, and that CF3 tanked...he said he's a winner, doesn't like to lose so basically fuck new CF music. That's ok by me if more would be like CF3 but I dug the first album and tour. I've lost interest in CF but had hoped another effort would kick some ass again. The first album was refreshing to me. I seldom enjoy Hagar but what's not to like about CF1? The tour was great. Band sounded good together, satch's tone is monsteruous live.. You really gotta see satch live to appreciate his greatness. Not so much for his stage presence but for his musical presence. He's a beast live. Sam is a fool to not make working with Satch a priority, IMHO.
