Crazy from the heat...

Okay, I'm reading the book for the 4th time but have never seen the movie. I don't even know if it is avaliable but I do know that Dave wrote the scripted and acted in it so my question is can I get a copy or was it such a huge flop that it never came out?

you've read the book 4 times
and you don't know that CBS films shut
down right before they were supposed to start
filming? Thus the movie was never made.

i have the script for the film
and it really isn't that great.

i think Dave's better off actually that
it was never filmed. i think
it would've ended his career a lot

I agree. It probably wouldn't have been a very good movie. Dave was a master at making 3 or 4 minute videos. But when you try and stretch it out to an hour and a half or so, big difference. I am glad this movie never got made. The only film I want to see Dave in is live on stage with VH.

4 times? 4 times and you have yet to figure out what happened with the movie. Young man I think you must have fried your brain on the second reading of that book.

Maybe you should come over to the Reading Room in the VH fans Meeting Place(Non-Music) and get some suggestions on something else to read. You have obviously hurt yourself with that book.

I know that it was shut down I guess I worded myself wrong.I was leaning towards, is there more info like the script or a trailer, bootleg maybe floating around. Sorry for the conffusion but I do think I have fried my brain reading the book. I get into it way to much. Someone did mention a script though which is something I'm looking for, can you tell me where I can get my hands on it?

Being that they were so close to starting the project, a lot of things must exist (though they're likely gone now) like scripts and sets and costumes etc.

I'm not sure this would have been a good movie, but it surely would have been an interesting movie.

Dave's probably lucky the movie idea tanked. Had he really tried to get into acting he'd have been typecast mercilessly. Even if Diamond Dave is showbiz schtik, it's the only thing he'd have seen.
