Default George Floyd & the protesting & rioting across the USA!

Oh I wanted to mention this and this pretty much drove me to the edge. The last time my wife had to go to the hospital we noticed in the notes they put she has multi-colored hair (apparently all drug users do) and thus is most likely an IV drug user seeking a fix. They also surmised that because she uses methadone. Apparently only heroin addicts use methadone which is so completely untrue itís not even funny. But he made that assumption as a doctor! Methadone is a common pain medication.

When we saw that in there we went completely nuts. My father was actually still alive at the time, and even though his mind was weakened by his dialysis and its effects and he wasnít practicing anymore, he still wrote an amazing letter to the hospital, and they apologized so profusely it was kind of funny. Needless to say they took that information out of there before they were hit with a gigantic defamation suit. I was just going to call and scream bloody murder, but he said ďno let me write a letter itíll give me something to do.Ē

But thatís whatís going on in todayís world guys. We have judgmental pieces of shit posing as doctors who are supposed to be caring for our loved ones who donít give a flying fuck. I better never run across that doctor ever again in my life.

Sorry dude. I can't fathom the frustration you and your wife have to deal with and then daughter feels it too even though I assume , you both try to make life normal as much as possible for her.

I've dealt with many MDs the last 10 years from family practice to surgery to oncology. I have only met one who seems to give a shit out of 6.

My wife has horrible doctors. Her pain doctor is a piece of shit and so is regular doctor. But to go through and start over trying to explain everything with someone new just isnít worth it. The devil you know is better than the devil you donít.

Anyone who has chronic pain is considered a drug addict even by their own pain doctors. So itís just not worth it for us to try to find someone else. Her doctor gives her her medicine and leaves her the fuck alone, and I guess thatís all we can ask for now. What a world.

    Man, i am truly sorry.

I cannot even imagine the strength it takes to exist in that state.
Is she able to get some relief if she's not moving, or on a couch or bed?
Is it just a constant radiation of pain?

I'd completely lose my mind, i don't think i could adjust.

The doctors should understand her situation better & be more empathetic.
Understanding the condition, i don't get how they could look at her sideways
    for requesting medication.

Recently, i had a compressed outer thigh nerve, and it drove me crazy.
I was able to fix it with a series of exercises & massage, but i quickly learned
even limited pain in one spot of my body, really aggravated me.

So i really admire how your wife manages to plow through it.

Life is so fucking miserable, sometimes.

I was talking to the building manager today, and he has chronic back pain,
but for whatever reason, can't take any meds for it (my guess is he had overcome
some sort of addiction in his past).
But he says he can only sleep with a wedge, and his body in a somewhat contorted
    position.

You'd think they'd have some advanced nerve blocker, by this point, that could
zone in on the troubled areas.

Default George Floyd & the protesting & rioting across the USA!

It sucks but it could be worse. It really could. Appreciate everyoneís well wishes! My wife is hardly the only person going through stuff like this. Thereís so many people in the world dealing with issues like her. Maybe not her exact same nerve disorder, but similar kinds of pain that just is destroying them.

And then you get the idiots abusing medication, and they fuck it up for everyone who really needs it.

My wife doesnít wallow in it she lives her life best she can. Like I said could always be worse. Itís not cancer or something like that thankfully.

I can sympathize because my wife had major back surgery last year which caused some nerve damage. So on top of her fibro, thyroid she has to deal with constant pain. She sucks it up the best she can and they really won't help. The choices are opioids, some nerve pills that make her legs swell, taking 20 tylenol or getting a shot in her back every two months or so. None of them really work outside of the shot for a few days.

Her primary care doctors really just say "deal with it" instead of trying to figure out why. Finally saw a nerve specialist who gave an explanation on some of it which at least was helpful.

Anyway my opinions of doctors are like teachers. You should have a calling and that is to help people or children. Shouldn't be about money, pushing pills, etc

Brett Iíve had the other end of the spectrum. My doctors have been just rubber stamping stuff. I could go in, say my percs werenít working and heíd give me opana. Or dilauded. I told him once that I was having panic attacks and needed Valium and that it helped with my back. Guess what; 80 of them.

BUT, since Obama and the new guidelines? Jesus. I took in a stool sample once just to make a point. It was terrible.

Iím sorry you have to deL with all this. And more to the point, sorry for your wife. As someone not only familiar with the schtick and the procedures as well as someone who has pain still daily, I do feel for your family. Itís hard as fuck and takes a major toll on families when pain is involved.

But the best thing I ever did was get sober. I know some people canít live without the meds. I know. But it was a crutch for me.

And if fentanyl isnít working, have her ask about exalgo. Itís better and less side effects. But isnít cheap.

We have many great MDs in the USA. We also have quacks who just like bad cops need to be outed and retrained in other areas. The problem is the whole corporate medical complex uses MDs now to attain their own gain$$ and less and less doctors have stand alone practices and are able to say fuck you to the system.

Portland mayor condemns rioters for 'attempting to commit murder'
The mayor said violent protesters will be used as "props" for President Trump's reelection campaign

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler Thursday evening condemned the actions of rioters who attempted to set fire to a police precinct and blocked the exits while officers were inside.

“When you commit arson with an accelerant in an attempt to burn down a building that is occupied by people who you have intentionally trapped inside, you are not demonstrating, you are attempting to commit murder," Wheeler said in a news conference with Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell.

"Don’t think for a moment that you are if you are participating in this activity, you are not being a prop for the reelection campaign of Donald Trump — because you absolutely are," he said. "You are creating the B-roll film that will be used in ads nationally to help Donald Trump during this campaign. If you don’t want to be part of that, then don’t show up.”

A riot was declared Wednesday evening when agitators descended upon the Portland Police Bureau’s East Precinct building, spray-painted over security cameras, broke a glass door with a 2x4, lit a fire using an accelerant and threw fireworks and other objects at officers, according to FOX 12 in Portland.

Police said that a truck also attempted to run over officers.

The front doors of the precinct were barricaded before the fire was started with more than 20 officers and civilian employees inside, police said, according to FOX 12.

Officers used tear gas to disperse the rioters and at least eight people were arrested. A federal court order bars police from using tear gas unless a riot is declared.

“I believe that city staff could have died last night,” Wheeler said. “I cannot and I will not tolerate that. This is not peaceful protests. This is not advocacy to advance reforms.”

Rioters also vandalized and broke into Portland’s Police Association Tuesday night.

Wheeler also urged peaceful protesters to avoid gatherings that could turn destructive or violent, according to Oregon Live.

“If you are a nonviolent demonstrator and you don’t want to be part of intentional violence, please stay away from these areas,” Wheeler said. “Our community must say that this violence is not Portland, that these actions do not reflect our values and these crimes are distracting from reform, not advancing.”

The clashes between thousands of protesters and federal agents sent by the Trump administration to guard the federal courthouse stopped after an agreement between Democratic Gov. Kate Brown and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that called for the agents to begin drawing down their presence in Portland’s downtown on July 30.

Then some instigators moved on to other police buildings across the city to cause problems.

Wednesday night’s violence in a residential neighborhood on the east side of the city began after a group of about 100 people gathered in a nearby park for a rally advertised on social media by the group Pacific Northwest Youth Liberation Front with the slogan “No cops. No prisons. Total abolition." The group then marched to the precinct.

At the same time, a larger peaceful group of Black Lives Matter protesters gathered downtown to give speeches. No police presence was necessary, Portland Police Bureau Capt. Tony Passadore said.

“Hurting people and trying to trap people in a building and burn them up, it’s just completely awful,” Portland Fire & Rescue Lt. Damon Simmons reiterated in the news conference, according to FOX 12.

Wheeler said the city anticipates “additional planned attacks on public buildings” in the coming days and said he was giving the police leeway to do what they needed to do to counter those plans as long as it can be done without threatening peaceful protesters.

On Wednesday, Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell said rioters aren’t forwarding the cause of racial injustice protesters. "Portlanders need to send a strong message that enough is enough," he said. “This movement is really powerful, but the violence has taken away from it.”

Wheeler was met with jeers from protesters two weeks ago when he joined them for a dialogue.

Portland has faced nearly 70 nights of anti-police protests since the police custody death of George Floyd.

Oh! Now I get it. All those rioters are really Trump supporters trying to make the left look bad. Why didn't we see this before now? Duh!

Watch: Attorney General William Barr Stops to Thank ‘Back the Blue’ Supporters

    7 Aug 2020

Attorney General William Barr stopped to thank a group rallying in support of the police in front of a police precinct in Virginia, according to a video captured by Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec.

The video shows Barr walking around and thanking the supporters, who are holding signs that say, “Back the Blue” — a slogan that stands for support for the police.

The moment happened when Barr had been riding with his FBI detail when he spotted them and asked them to stop so he could thank them, according to Kupec.

“That time you’re driving in Virginia and the Attorney General spots a group of people in front of a police precinct showing their support for the police,” Kupec tweeted.

“AG to FBI Detail: ‘Can we make a quick U-Turn? I want to jump out and thank those people,’” she added.

Police have been demonized in the days following the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who died after a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck for about eight minutes.

Since then, Black Lives Matters protesters, Antifa, and other far-left activists have stepped up their nearly decade-long calls for defunding the police. There have also been calls from progressive members of Congress to reduce police funding.

Democrat presidential hopeful former Vice President Joe Biden has said he “absolutely” supported redirecting police funding.
