Never could figure out alot of the lyrics to Everybody wants some. I thought he was sayin " . . Lookin' for a movie" Dave never put his lyrics down on the liner notes til after the split and I think that was part of his deal, to be vague or mysterious on the words. He once said something along the lines that he didn't want anyone putting too much thought into his lyrics, just enjoy them.

I don't care what the official VH website says, I still swear David Lee Roth says "Ah can't you see me standin here I got my back against the wreckin machine", no matter how many times i hear the song or watch the video. Am I the only one?

But I do happen to agree with your interpretation of the lyrics.

In any case, it is certainly NOT "Got my ASS against the record machine"!
