Ok, I'm on Napster now, the shut down is being delayed by the way, and I see this song, it says... To the New Born (unreleased VHIII). I am trying to down load it now but I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of it? Glenn????

FUCK!!!!! My connection just got canceled. Dammit. Well, I have him on my hotlist and Napster ain't shuttin down right now or any time soon, IMO..... so I'll have to finish doin it someother time. Aggghhhhhhh, you have no idea how pissed I am. But I do have his Napster name, Bolognafish, I probably aught to let Lead Keys know, so she can put him on her list while it's still useful.

Redfire, did you play any of it while it was downloading?

I have a feeling somebody just had some other song in a vh folder by accident. Did you view his library? Allot of other halen?

It's not Van Halen, it's a guitar instrumental, but it's not EVH. It's a cool piece of music, kinda sounds like Ed's 98 solo meets Respect the Wind, but it's definately not a VH tune. I downloaded it a few months ago & received an instant message saying it was rumored not to be Van Halen.

Yeah, I got tricked by that one too. I think I saw Kenny Loggin's Danger Zone mislabeled as a Van Halen song too.

I JUST now realized that you had started a thread about this long after I posted mine over in Main. Sorry, dude!

Brad Starks actually emailed me about the mp3 and I filled him in that as we all now know, the mp3 is an original tune by Bjornar Nygard which he had up for download, and someone must have thought it was an unreleased VH tune, leading to mass confusion. Brad replied that Bjornar should be proud, cuz it's probably the best compliment you can get to have someone mistake your song for an unreleased EVH solo!

I think it's kinda funny how people are out there Napstering for it..."ooh, listen to this, isn't it awesome? It's EVH." And then they find out it's not really Ed, and they're like "It's not? Well then I'm deleting it, it's crap." ha!

It was pretty awesome yesterday, I found someone who had the mp3 and messaged them just to let them know that it wasn't really Van Halen, and he was a really cool guy who knows someone who's going to the same college as me and we ended up making friends!

there are some pretty good benefits to being a female Van Halen fan...number one being that I'm always surrounded by guys
