I assume most people here don't have MGM but if you do and like WW2 shows, check out Rogue Heroes. Somewhat true story on how the SAS came together in WW2. Knowing a bit of the real history, they have taken some liberties but all in all very cool show. Action and humor and an obligatory romantic angle for women if they so choose. Only beef I have is that they had to make a historical figure gay which he wasn't. That's about the only DEI influence I see.

Kind of cool that they use a classic rock soundtrack during the show. Lots of AC/DC

I watched Rogue Heroes about 2 years ago when it was on Epix... which must be MGM now. Glad to see it got a second season. I used to have MGM, but not sure anymore. Need to keep a friggen notebook with all the services.

S1 is included with Prime... S2 needs a MGM subscription. Messed up.

Watching American Primeval on Netflix. Man, talk about a gritty western. Really enjoying it - but be warned, they don't hold back.

    The Middle (Peacock)

I never watched this when it first aired. Funny show that is in a universe somewhere between Roseanne and Malcom in the Middle.

Patricia Heaton really brings it... very funny. Nothing at all like Debra Barone on Raymond or the boring character Holly that she has been playing on the new Frasier.

Watched about 12 episodes last night from S1.

I'm watching the Apple TV+ channel on my Roku.

I'm hooked on it. I'll say nothing about it to avoid any spoilers.

Apple TV+ is ringing in the New Year by offering an all-access pass to customers all around the world. It's pretty good. Season 2 is about to wrap up Friday, I think. Pretty big cliffhanger at the end of season 1, too.

    Shifting Gears S1 E1

New Tim Allen sitcom with one of the 2 broke girls as his middle aged daughter moving back in with her kids.

Kind of bland with a completely played out concept. Not sure if the auto shop, car builder thing works to well either. Stifler and Daryl Chill Mitchell are part of the crew. Jenna Elfman is there too. maybe too many familiar faces in this one with not much happening.

Tim is a widower this time out.

This was probably the pilot... hope it gets better. Tim looks like he's really aged since Last Man Standing.

After never watching the series when it originally aired, I'm finally wading through Six Feet Under. I'm at the episode where Nate gets his ass kicked in a bar and shows up at his former girlfriends house while it's revealed his wife Lisa is dead. It was good the first season, but some of the characters have really worn out their welcome like Brenda. Add to that there's really not a single character that's remotely close to stable or "normal" with the possible exception of Rico.

Also just started "The Excorcist." 3 episodes in, looks fairly good.

Last Man Standing was pretty mediocre but watchable. I turned the channel midway thru the second episode tonight. I am frankly shocked that it made it to tv this poorly developed But hey, Bob Newhart had a classic with the Bob Newhart Show, then another long running classic with Newhart, but "Bob"? the one where he was a cartoonist? Then there was another one where he owned a bookstore I believe. tanked. It's hard to to make a hit show, let alone several hit shows

Daisy, I love the first few seasons of Home Improvement. Tim Allen was a comedic genius! It still blows my mind it was filmed back in the early 90s when it seems like it was only yesterday. I especially love the Halloween episode where Tim and Jill dressed as aliens and drove Randy and Brad bonkers, all to the music of Iron Butterfly!

Still a great show to watch with the family. Universal family humor and one of my favorite sitcoms to watch before bed to decompress
