    Ratched

Watched the first episode. Didn't really click with me... pretty slow and boring.

It all felt like a new season of American Horror Story more than anything else.

Think I'll watch One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest tonight (it's been years) and get a sense of who Nurse Ratched was and if the new series is doing her character justice or just exploiting her image.

I finished it up last night. The reviews I read were not great, but I enjoyed it.

My older daughter and I are going to watch One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. I probably haven't seen it in about 35 years.

Cynthia Nixon did not age well.

The Haunting of Bly Manor arrives on Netflix on Oct 9.

From the people who made The Haunting of Hill House. I enjoyed that one, so I'm intrigued by this new entry into the anthology series.

I'm going to keep shouting from the rooftops that Ted Lasso on Apple TV+ with Jason Sudeikis is one of the best comedies in recent years. It's not The Good Place level writing, but just a lot of heart and a lot of smart jokes.

Very excited about this and Aaron Sorkin's new film, on Netflix.

Itís been a while since Iíve watched OFOTCN but I donít recall the Nurse Ratchet vibe that is depicted in the Netflix show. Sheís is cold and unfeeling but that seems to fit her job description with no regard to breaking routine. I think she views McMurphy as a evil that must be removed for the greater good of her patients hence the frontal snip!

Yes, the week after Bly Manor drops, we get Sorkin's The Trial of the Chicago 7.

    I don't have Apple TV+...otherwise I'd give Lasso a shot.

I watched OFOTCN last night up to just after the fishing charter and Ratched is nothing at all like the character depicted in the new series.

I'll probably continue on with the new series, but there is just no way that this prequel version turns into the Louise Fletcher version from Cuckoo in about twenty years... she's too much of a caricature vs the originals realism.

Finished Away last night and I did enjoy it even though like most shows, a stupid ass kid is way too distracting and brings down the show. Find the ensemble cast to be far more interesting than Hillary Swanks character as well. That said once I could tune out the family drama and just concentrate on the space aspect it wasn't that bad

Couldn't sleep so I was scrolling thru some late night TV listings and found a channel I had never heard of FEtv ( Family Entertainment TV). It sounds like a MEtv twin...anyway, came across The Partridge Family and clicked it cause I love to watch those 70's shows for the clothes and the cars

I laughed out loud because what popped up made me immediately wonder if I was still asleep. Mrs Partridge and Danny having a discussion with Richard Pryor and Louis Gossett Jr..! It was like a fever dream.

Apparently the show was about how the Partridge Family accidentally got booked into a struggling black cultural arts center and if the show didn't make enough money some loan shark was going to own it.

Richard Pryor on the Partridge Family. Who would have thunk it.
