Lucifer - 2nd Half of Season Six

Watched the first episode...found it kind of boring. They might be picking the right time to hang it up.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

I finished the whole thing a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't the best season, but it was decent.

I watched about 3 minutes. I don't get it, don't like it. The animation made me want to puke....

    The Conners

Dan married Peg Bundy this week. It was actually a pretty good episode that felt a lot like old school Roseanne.

Too bad they had to throw in a silly tornado to muck it all up. That just killed any momentum the episode had and made the marriage just a backdrop... then Jackie ended up performing the quick vows.

Dan deserved better after after all he's been through.

I'm finding that last season and this season The Conners is starting to hit it's stride. The Becky character is probably the most interesting one aside from Dan. Becky! Who knew?
But have you noticed that they have back peddled on the gender fluid son? No skirts for him anymore

OH! and I recommend an Australian comedy on IMDB called Upper Middle Bogan...which I guess in American translates to Upper Middle Class Redneck.

The premise is an upper class doctor discovers that she is adopted and searches out her birth family only to find that her parents eventually married and had more children and they are a wild family of drag racers.

Yup. She was raised as a private school attending, country club going debutante type and her "real" family is a bunch of crazies who run a family racing business. She tries to bond with them despite the culture differences.

Her father is a hoot. Her brother is peculiarly similar to her goofy son and her adopted mother is not okay with any of this. There is some humor that makes me wonder how this could air on prime time TV, TV must be a bit different over there

    You - 3rd Season

This Dexter wannabe show might have jumped the shark. Three episodes in, and I have done quite a few eye rolls already.

Four Hours at the Capitol (HBOmax)

Definitely some terrifying footage from phones, police body cams and surveillance cameras of the small group that stormed the Capital.

The whole thing is pretty one sided with Democrats reactions to the horror and a nice selection of idiot Proud Boy types that felt like talking to the camera.

They want you to believe that every single person that came to Washington that day was there to burn it down... and surely there is an audience for that. Hook, line and sinker types.

I thought it was a waste of an hour and a half that gave no real new look into anything we did not already know a week later, after the event... from the hypno media.

    Selective propaganda.

There were also some Republican congressman interviewed. I noticed you conveniently left that out.

I don't think the point of the film was to make you believe that every single person that went there wanted to take lives and burn the Capitol down. But I agree with you, there was definitely some terrifying footage, which was the focus of the doc.

This is painful to watch, show is ending a half season too late.

    Curb Your Enthusiasm

I heard this was coming back but was surprised to see it started last Friday.

Larry and Jeff pitch a new show to Netflix. Gonna be wacky season.

The last 5 minutes had me lmfao.

Has Albert Brooks been on the show before? Or is he on because his brother died?

Also, fascinating to me that The Conners is thriving despite losing Roseanne. Never would have taken that bet. You think about what they put the audience through, with the whole lottery arc, which was then undone by the finale, which was then undone by saying those reveals at the end were ALSO part of the book, and then the main character gets killed off.

Anyway, we have been watching Foundation on Apple TV+, but we are also potty training our daughter so things have come to a grinding halt. We are also stuck on and haven't started teh final season of Breaking Bad because of it.
