    Mary & George (Starz)

watched episode 1... nicely done period piece with all the politics and bedroom romping you would expect from these things.

Julianne Moore is very good and having a blast as the Countess of Buckingham, while the young guy playing her son George is good fun as a handsome, slightly dim tool of a Duke.

This is pretty good, even if you're not a Man City fan. They have been the New England Patriots of the English Premiere League.

American Nightmare on Netflix. Pretty good and worth watching.

been watching Brooklyn 99 on netflix, that show is funny as hell.

I've also been watching old episodes of Kitchen Nightmares, I love it when Gordon labes the foode "dreadful", lol. Same with Bar Rescue, when John Taffer just goes off on people, I think it's hilarious.

The Curb finale was great. I really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed almost every scene in the series where it's Richard Lewis and Larry talking, it was comedic gold.

    Parish S1 E3 (AMC+)

This is a highly unoriginal series and Giancarlo Esposito at his age is really stretching credibility in the physical action scenes. Plus, behind the wheel he is totally unconvincing as a professional driver.

Never cared for Skeet Ulrich, and his Louisiana dirt bag criminal here doesn't help matters.

I'll keep watching though, since I do like the Zimbabwean crime family.

    Mary & George S1 E2 (Starz)

This period piece is moving along nicely. Once again, Julianne Moore is tearing it up as the Countess, and the dude playing King James (Tony Curran) is exceptional also.

Finally got around to watching Shogun on Hulu. Been hearing good things about it and its really good. Due to most the cast being Japanese you will have to read subtitles but that actually helps. They kind of throw you into this world not knowing who this person is, their name, what they do, etc You don't get lost but it takes a bit of time to get comfortable. Nice that superhuman abilities (like in other shows of the East) are not there Minimal action where a 110 pound woman is kicking the crap out of a division of trained samuari.

Its kind of like watching Game of Thrones but in 1600 Japan. Acting is very good too

I tried watching Shogun last night laying in bed and couldn't keep up with all the subtitles. It looks really good, but I need to be sitting upright to read shit at the bottom of the TV screen. Lol. I'll get back to it.

Probably not everyone's cup o tea, but Apple TV just dropped a trailer for the 4th season of 'Trying" It follows a couple who are "trying" to start a family and all the issues that go with that. Eventually fostering and adoption are the route they take.

It's a very real depiction of a couple who married in their 30's and have had to deal with everything from their apartment getting sold out from under them, to job pressure to fertility pressure etc.

Sweetly funny and with endearing actors. A good stay at home date night watch.

Finished Shogun and highly recommend it if you like Game of Thrones or shows that have more political intrigue than just battles. Not a ninja show either where people are jumping 20 feet in the air. Just a great series. Ending was a bit different as well. Hoping that despite statements that a S2 won't happen, somebody will just relent and make it. Wonderfully acted and for once just a great storyline without any deviations to please a portion of the modern viewing audience.

The Upshaws Part 5 - 6 episodes (Netflix)

They do parts instead of seasons. Took in Part 5 over the weekend

Not particularly vey funny, but I like the series just the same. The situations are silly and the cast is pretty good.

Kim Fields makes me want to slap her sometimes though, with her faux ghetto persona. Lol! That chick probably acts whiter than me... and I'm from Ohio.

Watched a couple of Mike Epps comedy specials on Netflix after... he's pretty damn funny. He definitely plays a character on The Upshaws, because he's a totally different in person on stage. Well versed and articulate.

    That review was racist, maybe.
