The Song "Big Trouble".....

Ive seen on a few VH bootleg cd's that in the early club days they played a song called "Big Trouble". Is this any relation to the Big Trouble that is on Dave's solo album? Same song by any chance?

No it's a totally different song than the solo DLR one. It was recorded for Diver Down, but it was left off.

I have it. It's a really good song! It is one of the best unreleased VH songs that I have heard..

My favorite unreleased Van Halen song ever! I have it on the Looney Tunes Merrie Melodies 4 disc boot I bought a year ago...
It's a real shame this song was never put on an official album release...I would have liked to see Big Trouble added to Diver Down and Dancing In The Street removed....But that's just my opinion..

Great song IMO!!! Much better than the Roth-solo tune on EAS. I didn't know that it was left off of Diver Down. What a shame.

I really like the Big Trouble song that's on the Eat Em and Smile album; in fact, it may be my favorite song on there (sorry YankeeRose).

Now, VH's Big Trouble is huge too, and Mikey is just thumping on that song. It's too bad VH didn't record their albums with Mikey thumping that much.

Big Trouble is definitely my favorite unreleased Van Halen song. I wish it would have been included on either Diver Down or 1984. I wonder if they would put it on the new album?

I always thought it would be cool to hear them re-record this song with Dave . Maybe on the Greatest Hits 2 cd , they could redo it for a bonus track

Big Trouble was originally on VH's demo, then it was re-recorded for Diver Down. Just my two cents (and first post).
