Does anybody have a copy of this on cd? I have it on cassette and vinyl but I cannot find it otherwise.

it was never released on CD. just vinyl and cassette like you have....

I believe Hide Your Sheep is correct on this, RNR. Perhaps somebody has burned it on CD themselves, though.

Thanks for the info. I know that 16 years ago has been along time but I swear I thought I remembered it being on cd at that time also. Furthermore, wasn't this album credited as going platinum in Latin America? If so, you would think it would be in print on cd somewhere else.

it's a weird thing in this day & age to think that back in 1986 even though CD's were pretty common already that some records weren't released on CD as well as the standards of the time (LP's and cassettes)

there's a great, great reggae album by jimmy cliff and various artists for the movie "club paradise" with robin williams. it came out in 1986 and ive got it on cassette and LP but it was never released by columbia on CD - it makes no sense cause at the time you'd think a summer movie's soundtrack would be - but back then Cd's were still new and some records just didn't get the CD treatment.

i had a friend burn me a CD copy of the jimmy cliff soundtrack and it's great. sounds perfect. if you really want sonrisa on CD i'd suggest you do the same. it is kinda a fun album to listen to once in awhile....

by the way i really dont think it sold that well - even in latin america.
