Judgement Day doesn't get the props it deserves

Hello. My name is JWS, and I think Judgement Day flat-out rocks. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

No question it's among my favorite Hagar songs. #2, behind Right Now. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

I just don't think this song gets the props it deserves. Totally underrated IMO. Probably the hardest-rocking Hagar song.

I agree. Judgement Day is an awesome song. Fast, heavy, good lyrics and solo. It's my 4th favorite song on FUCK behind Right Now, Poundcake, and The Dream Is Over.

I used to like this a lot 10 years ago. But now I say that this song is very lightweight. If I want heavy Halen I'll play Atomic Punk, On fire.

I agree, Judgement Day doesn flat out kick ass. It was nice to hear some old school playing on that tune. As for the solos, simply amazing! Great concert song as well.

I like everything besides the words for the verses. You can tell Hagar sounds out of place singing this one since he'd rather have a love song instead of a Judas Priest retread (i.e. You Got Another Thing Comin'.)

I think the whole F.U.C.K cd is underrated by most people on this site. It is without a doubt my fav Sammy era cd. I like the others, but none come close to this for me.
I like balls and chunck in the production quality and this one has it.

Judgement Day is one kick ass song that rocks from front to back...and the lyrics are all part of the package! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] Heavy groove and a thumping beat keep it kicking all the way thru!

This is the only song I've ever "headbanged" to, (don't want any "dain bramage [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] ) and IMO has the perfect tempo for it.

Priest retread?! [img]smilies/confused.gif[/img] I like Priest, but Another Thing Comin' is a sellout for radio airplay (shoulda been on Point of Entry--a sellout album)--the song doesn't do anything for me.

One of the best Sam-era tunes for sure, and definitely one of the highlights of "FUCK."

** More Priest - As for "Another Thing Comin'," it really doesn't fit well on "Screaming For Vengeance," I agree it should have been on "Point of Entry" (a shit record other than "Heading Out To The Highway").

Ya know, I like the main riff in that song, but I can honestly say that there is something soft about it that doesnt fit. Maybe its sam, maybe not, I dont know. I like it, but its missing something. Maybe I got all hyped up about it reading guitar players review and ed saying it was "a head banger" and let my expectations rise, but I was just a tad disapointed with it. And I know its nifty and all, but that three finger tapping thing ed does? I'm not real fond of it. Doesnt sound that great to me. I'm sure its tough/complicated/respected, and all that, but it just doesnt sound great.
