Why did they title it volume 1? Could they fill another one. I can only think of "top of the world", " feels so good" and "amsterdam" that are left.. I talking about real videos..not live performances they could put on there. "Pretty Woman" and "Fire in the hole" are two more. That's only five. Am i forgeting some?

How about "Once", "Best of Both Worlds", original "Dreams" video, "RWTD", "Unchained",
Fire in the Hole", Without You",?
Also,
I wish that they would release the Grand Opening of Cabo Wabo on video, we only saw a tease on MTV.
It would be col to see them jamming with the likes of Brad Delp, Lita Ford and all others that were there.
and while Ed's at it, he should release his performance with Wolfie at his school benefit show.

If they make a second volume I hope they include live videos. They're almost better than the studio ones. Dance The Night Away, Bottoms Up, Unchained, Hear About It Later... the list goes on.

I just wish they'd release something, like some pro-shot stuff from the first tour. I bet they have a lot from there. Kinda like that one show in Italy I think where Al had to play that pink drumset, but Dave humped the fire extinguisher, so they couldn't show it. Or just some various stuff that they have lying around in their vaults.

Achievements:
First off, I think that Video Hits was a stupid title. Obvious, sure, but I think it would have been cooler to have an actual title; something like Celluloid Heroes.
Second, it should have had EVERYTHING on it. All the promo videos, the alternate takes etc.
Third, there's a fine line between releasing too much product and not enough, but Van Halen really needs to start opening up the vaults and providing the fans with material (audio and video) that is of a rare nature. Many fans missed the Dave era and a full show from that time should be packaged on a DVD to celebrate it. Get LWAN onto DVD for those who want it.
Sadly, VH will probably never do this.

Yeah, I think that the video package should have included all the things that die-hard fans would have paid gold for!
Some alternate takes, footage from 5150, Eddie noodling on guitar, old live performances with Dave never aired.
For example, I would have craved (is this the correct verb?!) for some stuff like "The making of...", as Aerosmith did.
I'll go even forward now, even though this is not part of the topic:
I would go crazy for an unplugged show!!!!
But I know Eddie will never do it.
And, as Glenn said in other terms, everything will collect dust in their vaults.

yeah glenn,
as said before, their DVD suxxx big time,
man, they even cut the guitar solo in Human beings !!! plain stooopid
... some making of "pretty woman, jump, hft, Panama" ... would be more than appreciated

there's much more to show ... how long do they wanna wait for releasing it anyway???
KISS did this very clever, they always put in some nuggets from the past in videopackages like "Kiss Exposed", "Kiss konfidential" ... they even did that "kiss extreme close up" ... now why did VH never do this?
they still seem to prefer the "Led Zeppelin" kinda way, no interviews, no extras, only the music?
well, just look at the "Plant/Page" releases, with a whole MTV Show ... they changed a lot too
cheers,
SToRMdave, we'd like to go upstairs, the two of us, with you ...

At least Led Zep had a movie, "The Song Remains The Same" - concert they did at MSG ...i forgot what year. VH needs to do that WITH DAVE. we have two Sammy Videos (three if you count Video hits 1 , which is practically all sammy". I missed the Dave era, cause I was too young, so I want a glimpse of how it was.

I totally agree. The lack of anything new on Video Hits Volume 1 shows that VH don't really give a f*#k about their fans.
LWAN should be released on DVD, as well as a Dave era concert such as the Oakland, Largo or the U.S. Festival show. Metallica may be sellouts but at least they offer their fans plenty.
