It's a tough choice, since I enjoy them both a lot. I think DLR's vocals are surprisingly good on each (though I know some people thought his vocals were a little rough on these).

In the end, though, my pick goes to Me Wise Magic because it was such a well-written song, and Eddie's guitaring is terrific (and makes the best use of a Steinberger TransTrem I have ever heard).

Me Wise Magic, but the outro on CGTSNM is classic.
"There's a Japanese term called wabi-sabi, not wasabi, but wabi-sabi. It means an appreciation for the imperfect, the less than precision. The cowboy boots that you never polish because it's bad luck. That is completely wabi-sabi. Van Halen is that." - DLR 2002<br /><br />"Look! I can see their parachutes! They're ok..." - Tenshinhan, DragonBall Z

Both great tunes, but I'm gonna keep the trend going and say Me Wise Magic by a nose.

Ditto to everyone so far, except for me it's Me Wise by far. CGTSNM is still pretty cool though.
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne

"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello

"There is no heir to the throne of Eddie Van Halen. Nobody sits on that throne. Nobody takes that throne. Here's why it's different with Eddie: when a great guitar player passes, you just move on to another, right? But in this case, Eddie wasn't just a 'guitar player'. We're talking about a guy who changed culture and how we play guitar. He was like an alien coming in and fucking everything up so much that even the legends beforehand are like, 'Okay .. what is happening here? What sorcery is this?'" -Nuno Bettencourt

    Humans Being

Anyway, I can't choose one of those two because they're not classic Dave IMHO. They're too long. Dave is good for short rockers only.

ME WISE MAGIC is the song that is the quintessential VH song right there.
Now, CGTSNM is a great song as well, but MWM has that classic energy that I fear we may never see again out of that group.
Van Halen without the original 4 is just not Van Halen.

    MWM for Haase
Ed plays very very very fast at the climax bit of the song.

    And Al's furious half-improvising playing

Can't Get this stuff is Rocks on too.
