Yes but videos are usually shot several months in advance.

I don't know but they were talking about the videos at the VMAs and his open letter was about a month later.

NOt directly VH but related to the RRHOF performance.

Remember how the terrible performance by Slash and Velvet Revolver at the Rock Hall. We all thought it was an impossible situation. They didn' thave time to learn the songs the right way, etc. Well this video kind of tells me that is BS. Slash just doens't put any time in

This is better from a "lets put some time in" but my God this is terrible. Playing Crazy Train in from or Mr and Mrs Osbourne. Butchers the solo. Then impersonating Jimi by being out of tune after the solo.

Me thinks Slash just isn't the guy you ask to do this sort of stuff.

Per his book, Dave got the video treatment of the band playing live without him, and then him singing separately somewhere else, didn't like it, rejected it and by then said "fuck it".

That's Dave's side of the story.

MWM was recorded late July finished in Aug
MTV awards in Sept.
Then was to film video late sept. But fell apart by then.
MWM released as a single sans video in Oct.
Dave and Ed met and exchanged music early June. So it moved pretty quickly

Sad. Also thinking about the ADKOT "videos" which were pretty bad - CVH was known for great videos, but not the last time around. Maybe because they didn't bring back Pete Angelus? Has that dude ever given an interview about VH, btw?

The fun aspect was missing in mach 4. They filmed an interview at Dave's house with the brothers and Dave for a Japanese TV show that they used a few minutes from but the filming was actually a bit more than 2 hours. It is mostly the 3 of them bullshitting we each other but I think posting the raw footage would be cool.
