Would this be the black and white interview footage that came out around the release of ADKOT? I think there's two parts on YT.

Its not the ones filmed for ADKOT around Downtown Sessions where Dave acts as interviewer but it is black n white no interviewer just a producer off camera gave em questions. It was 2012 ish and I think the show was to celebrate the 1984 album but I could have the show purpose wrong

Some of the footage is cut into this but that day was over 2 hrs of them

Visuals were a very strong element of CVH - if you look at other bands from that era like Survivor, Triumph, Foreigner, etc - their visual presentation now seems incredibly dated. Not VH.
Everything about VH was top notch: the logo, the album covers, the videos, etc. But the last iteration, it's like they didn't bring back everything. The visuals weren't there.

I would argue the dot matrix screen in 2015 was the closest thing Mach 4 got to that element.

& If you don't like the ADKOT & Live album art; ask Dave.

The vinyl edition of ADKOT is stellar & packed with fun stuff.

Yup I'm not sold on the album art (btw I thought Alex was in charge of that in the old days). The fonts used, the colors, etc. I'm not gonna say ADKOT is horrible. It just falls short of the high standards we were used to. And to add insult to injury, the album before that, VHIII, had a truly atrocious cover. Us VH fan just have to suffer, it's our destiny.

Thinking back even further, Balance had a weird cover as well. Never got that one. When I think of Balance, I never think about the album cover, it's like I deleted it from my mind, I just think of the songs I like, the great music, etc. FUCK was the last VH record with a decent cover.

Yes was late 2012 but he was not far removed from his intestine perforation that canceled that leg of the tour so perhaps that is what you see.

ADKOT's cover is a pedestrian as hell, but when you see the full LP layout, the inner notes and stuff is pretty well done and thought out, you can tell DLR put a lot of work into it.

The advent of tapes and even more so CD's ended album covers as art for all practical purposes.

Can't remember if this was posted before, but a number of years ago Mikey performed with Robby Krieger in Beverly Hills. Here's one of the songs and you can find the other few on YT. Pretty cool:

I remember. The show in Japan was called " Song for Song". The show theme was to celebrate certain songs. This VH episode was about Fools. Just kidding. It was about Jump.

BUT- One thing I distinctly remembered was a quote David made about himself in a fun lighthearted self depricitory way joking that he was just a " One Trick Pony", ...at which Edward then said, .."But Ooooooooohhhh what a trick"....in a way that was a very big genuine compliment. The way Edward said it was very cool. I guess you have to watch to see what I mean. Oh. Haha. See what I mean. Just like the lyrics in Jump.

Correction - The Show is Song To Soul
