That would be a shit load of work I think with no real benefit.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Sounds like a lot of work to do something really stupid.

I'd like to hear Dave's low pitch and husky type of delivery over the music for Pleasure Dome . There's a lot of changes and 'moods' from a melodic standpoint , and I think Roth's style of spoken type of vocals would be a good fit . Dreaming , I know .. Haha

Yes, one of many that having Dave on them would have made them classic.

    Agreed .
You know I like Sam and his era's music , yet Dave is his own entity unto himself .

To my ears , Eddie and Roth never put out any bad music with each other . It stands to reason the Dave could've made a lot of Ed's post 1984 ideas come to life with his unique flair . Some songs he wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole , but others ? I'm sure there would've been some cool nuggets to be heard . In an alternate universe of course ... Haha

It's not like I'd want to hear Dave singing over the 'Love Walks In' , 'Feels So Good' , or 'Can't Stop Loving You' bed tracks ... I can totally picture his style on ditties like 'Cabo Wabo' , 'The Dream is Over' and 'Good Enough' types of things . There are many others I could list that I feel would also be cool

I read that Dave would be given a demo tape of song ideas , that he'd listen too while driving in his Lowrider , to come up with lyrics . I also read that Dave had indeed heard some of the material that was used for 5150 . Sure would be cool to get a glimpse of his early ideas for those songs . Almost like Holy Grail type of stuff ...
