I'm curious about this. IMO, That's Why I Love You was far and away the best song they did with Gary. So, this poll goes like this: It's That's Why I Love You vs. ANY other song on VH3! If your vote goes to the "any other song on VH3" option, simply fill in the comment box with the name of the song (or songs) you like more than That's Why I Love You. Let the polling begin ...
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne
"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello
"There is no heir to the throne of Eddie Van Halen. Nobody sits on that throne. Nobody takes that throne. Here's why it's different with Eddie: when a great guitar player passes, you just move on to another, right? But in this case, Eddie wasn't just a 'guitar player'. We're talking about a guy who changed culture and how we play guitar. He was like an alien coming in and fucking everything up so much that even the legends beforehand are like, 'Okay .. what is happening here? What sorcery is this?'" -Nuno Bettencourt

I've never heard TWILY, I'll need to get a hold of it. As for VHIII, I like it. A lot. "Without You" and "One I Want" especially. And the solo in "Josephina" is one of Eddie's best ever IMO.
Use my hand, I won't look!

'One I Want' is my favorite from VHIII. I like it better than 'TWILY' which is a good tune IMO.

I really like the riff of Fire In The Hole... that big stadium rock sound... so that one gets me vote.

I picked Year to the Day. The other day I was listening to the VH internet radio station, and they started with two Dave songs and then played Year to the Day. It fit right in.
No, I'm not medicated.

I think Without You could have been really cool. Just too busy as it is. It's also too long.
Outside of WY, From Afar (which is kind of underrated) and the music to Ballot Or The Bullet (minus the shitty Dobro interruptions), the album is kerrrrrrrrap, IMO.
As for TWILY, it definitely would have been a better addition to 3 than Josephina. The fact they chose to hold up the release of the album just to replace TWILY highlights what a botched operation VH3 really was.
As if a highlight was needed.

Dirty Water Dog is my favorite!
TWILY sucks, Gary's singing on that song is beyond awful!!! I like the music on it though, it could be a good song if it was re-recorded with better vocals.Right Now you're reading my post!
I can't stand rap....people who can't sing do rap....you can sing rebellion as well as talk it....Hitler would have been in a rap band...
