We don't know the context yet. Maybe he went along with it, maybe he didn't. Maybe he takes some blame for listening to handlers, maybe not. Maybe he throws Ed under the bus, maybe he doesn't. I'm glad it seems like it's finally being admitted to what some of us have thought for a loooooooong time.

Sammy just can't help himself. He's going to take various jabs at Ed because if it there wasn't any VH buzz surrounding the book nobody would buy it. Does anyone really give a flying crap how he became the second coming of Jimmy Buffet? The answer is no.

Of course, I will read it because I am curious to read Sam's take on many things throughout his tenure in VH. I couldn't care less about his Montrose or pre-VH solo career and as I stated already, I don't care how became a multi-millionaire bar mogul and I'm sure the coming together of Chickenfoot will be less than earth shattering information.

Know this before reading it: Sam will bash Ed about anything and everything. Without the anti-VH sentiment the release of the book lacks the buzz Sammy's ego will need to add "best selling author" to his resume.

For all the pre-1985 fans only the issue is going to be that Sammy will somehow claim that the band was nothing till he joined following DLR's first departure.

Oh don't get me wrong, there will be some validity to Sammy's venom regarding the EVH portions of the book but I am also quite sure that there will be gross exaggerations throughout it as well.
