Do you think they might need to have some kind of physical makeover, i.e., maybe better hair plugs for Dave, different hair styles, fashion, etc. to fit in with the rest of the MTV people? While I don't think they should change their style too much, I hope Dave gets some better hair plugs (or some at all if he doesn't have them now) to make him look a little less old. Dave doesn't look that bad except for the bald thing. I think a little updating might help, but I hope they basically come out like they used to: Ed in the old jeans (not that flamey looking dress shirt from 3) Dave in, well, whatever the hell he wants to wear (not spandex), Mike in the classic Jack Daniels shirt and jeans, and maybe Al can have some kind of treatment for his neck so he doesn't have to wear that neck brace (man that makes him look geriatric) and of course the classic do-rag. I think the guys if they choose to go the MTV route, will need a little update, but I hope they still keep the old VH "I don't give a fuck" identity. The main thing that was appealing about these guys on stage is that they looked comfortable, not made up like Creed or Bon Jovi. It's just like that old pair of sweat pants that everybody has, they look like shit, but they feel good. And when you feel good, it shows (except for the nacho cheese and beer stains on your pants). What improvements do you think could be made. Please don't bash me too bad, I'm reaching waaaaaay down for a new topic in here.

You know, i talked about this once, especially the hairplug thing with dave, and people always bashed me saying "it doenst matter about the look, only the music" sorry, wrong. with eddie, i buy that argument. with dave, no way. dave has always been about the look. his lyrics r testosterone driven, and he can be makin videos with girls anymore with that receding hairline. dave cant have that attitude he used to with people making fun of his hair. so i say get plugs. he certtainly can afford them. as far as look, i think vh will wear whartever. i mean in Jump they wore some 80'2 clothes, but i dont really consider them an 80's band, cuz the music couldnt be labeled that. i think as far as look goes, the video will be the best indicator of that.

Honestly, if VH ever wanted to be mainstay on MTV anymore, they'd have to make drastic changes, of which a handful includes:
1. Offensive, beat-oriented rhyming lyrics that make no sense.
2. Half-naked dancing girls in naughty school outfits.
3. Professional songwriters that enable them to have a new album of the same songs in less than a year.
4. Two words: Dance steps.
5. Funky clothes, someone with blue facial hair, and distinctive personalities (Eddie is the brooder, Dave is the party boy, Mikey's the rationalist, Al is the psycho).
6. Rogaine.
So, in other words, no hope for being on MTV, and we wouldn't like it if they were

I'm sure for any public apprearence, Van Halen will make sure they look good. I don't mean that they are going to totally change their style because they really shouldn't have to. For them it's the music. Unlike Britney Spears who shows off her bod to sell records (not complaining though). Or these rap groups who are only about image. Van Halen will do what they want. Hey, nobody tells Keith Richards to change his style. Or even wash his hair for that matter. Anyway, let VH be VH. The good times that were gone will be back!

Who cares what they look like. I think Roth would look even funnier with a full head of hair at age 45 then if he didn't. As long as he doesn't wear his pants up to his neck I'll be fine
The band never gave a fuck about the new trendy look, and I highly doubt they will change. If the young guns want to join the ride, they will have to change to the VH style, not vice versa.
