Some Info I Can Share...Rather Amusing

So apparently my mother has been on the Van Halen train today, this is totally bizarre. Apparently my mom's knows this A & R guy at Warner/Chapel records, and get how out of the loop EVEN these guys are.

My mom asked him if he knew what was going on with VH, and he told her that Eddie still needs to get his hip replaced, and quit drinking. When she told me this, I nearly split a gut. I said, "Mom call this idiot back and tell him that Eddie had his hip surgey over 8 months ago, and to open up the trades and newspaper once in a while."

See even an A & R guy at Warner doesn't know jack. Don't believe anyone!

The other funny thing this goof said was that my mother said I play guitar in a band. He asked what our name was, and she told him, "Lowtide." He wanted to know where we've played, and my mom gave the usual stuff, "The Coconut Teaszer, the Troubador...blah blah." He then says, "Oh, I've heard of them, they're a local band right?" What a friggin' tool this guy is, he's never heard of us and of course we're "local," otherwise he'd really know us.

These record execs are really pieces of work. I'd post his stupid name if I could remember what she said it was, what a fool.

If he didn't know anything about Van Halen, then say, "I don't know what's going on in Van Halen." And he's never heard of my band, so why say he has. Furthermore I think it is very pathetic that an A & R exec at Warner Bros. is not aware AT ALL what one of the most prolific bands the label has ever had is doing.

Obviously by your ignorant retort, you have COMPLETELY misread my post.

Giant, I am not impressed with your attitude here. I have sensed uncalled for hostility in all of your posts since you registered. Whatever chip is on your shoulder is your problem, do not subject this board to it. So either quit being a complete jerk, and enjoy this place, or leave to find "intelligent" life elsewhere. If you don't find my responses to you matching your intellectual prowess, that's great, I always enjoy meeting those with a penchant for condescention. But when someone like you comes from "left field" and completely interprets a straight-forward post in their own twisted way, you are the last person that should be searching for "intelligent" life my friend. You wouldn't know it if you saw it anyway.
