Its amazing, a little news about Sam's possible return sparks Dave bashing @ PD

I just visited the Putred Dim-wit Dome as I sometimes do for a laugh and I couldn't believe that since the rumor of Sam being in talks to rejoin VH, there now seems to be alot of Dave bashing going on.

Its only an UN-confirmed rumor.

But when the hot topic was that Dave was back, we had alot of Sammy bashing.

par for the course I guess when it comes to Van Halen fans.

I just want something concrete from the guys and a new album.

Will Dave or Eddie please say something.

Its not like Dave to keep his mouth shut, especially when a EEAS band reunion is plan B?

I am not suprised at anything that goes on in the PD. But, to hear them bashing Dave is just wrong.

I heard Sammy talking on KSHE last month, and he point blank said he does not want to be back in the band.

Not sure where the rumour is coming from.

I am brand spankin' new to the forum and I must say, after lurking the site for some time, there is obviously frustration from day to day because of the lack of news surrounding one of America's greatest bands of all time! And that is sad to say the least! However, from working in the music business for many years, I can say that things will work itself out and especially in Van Halen's case. Furthermore, I did not come here to cause a problem but to voice my opinion that, from clients to people in the music business, the future will be just fine
with Van Halen. As for Mr Hagar? Don't look for this man to be in Van Halen anytime soon.

Eddymon, I think that the more time that goes by with no word about a Dave reunion, more peeps are going to look at the next obvious choice, which would be Sammy.

I think that its only coming from the fact that we are getting rumors about a EEAS Band reunion and that people are trying to come up with the next logical step the band should/would take.

But for some reason I can't see why Steve Vai would want to do this reunion because of the fact that there only a few songs from the past EEAS line-up that people want to hear & the rest would be Van Halen tunes.
Does HE want to be in a Van Halen cover band again. He seemed to want to establish himself as something than another Eddie Van Halen clone.

But of course, what else has he got going.

I know he not very popular here, but I would not be at all surprised to hear Bret Michaels name come up again, only because of Bobby Dahl's injury. We'll wait & see. (in rumor I mean

You know something, Eddymon, it's a circle. We're all talked out after two years of Dave. Now it's time for the two years of Sammy that amounts to nothing, before we spent two years debating a singer #4 which again will ultimately result in nothing.

And since it will have been a full four years since we last mentioned Dave, we'll just go right back into that topic for another two years [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]
