Heroes 1977 (DVD, available to rent on several streamers)

A Vietnam veteran suffering from post traumatic stress disorder breaks out of a VA hospital and goes on a road trip with a sympathetic traveler to start a worm farm in California with his fellow veterans.

An old favorite of mine. Just a simple little movie. I read the paperback book version way back in 1977 and finally found the movie on DVD many years later.

Henry Winkler as the vet, Harrison Ford as an Army buddy and Sally Field as a girl Winkler meets at a bus station.

IMHO, the 1st one was just so and so. Most of the times, I watch these movies at least 02 or 03 times.

This one I only watched once with no intention of 'repeating the dose' as we say here.

    Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

Eh! Whatever. I've pretty much had it with Jason Mamoa anyway. Your either a burley biker type or your Aquaman... he chooses burly biker type.

Any movie that opens with fucking Born To Be Wild as the theme song is already screaming lame and tired.

I liked the first movie but this one is just one big rehash with no new ideas. So much going on up on the screen but nothing at all to back it up.

    The Stepfather (1987)

Wow! It’s been a long time since I originally watched this and being that serial killing seems to be my algorithm of choice in the world of streaming apps, I decided to rehash for old times sake.

The opening scene was actually pretty good for its time—nothing says psycho more than a house full of blood. The rest of the movie is predictable and blah. I have to give casting props for selecting Terry O'Quinn. His creepy factor has always been a 10.

No. Still watch it. I want to see what other people think. It's watchable but I just kept shaking my head at some of the plot devices.

LAD, I've always liked that flick! Terry O'Quinn is a great actor usually playing good guys but he made for quite an evil bastard in that role. Beware The Stepfather!

Yeah he is! Something just clicks with him in this role…maybe it’s his love of power tools? Ha-Ha!
