    Night Shift

Found it on my Prime Starz channel last night.

I think it's held up very well. I laughed a lot and still enjoy Henry Winkler's timid nerd character.

Still enjoy Shelly Long's scene in Winkers kitchen in a thong making breakfast. Damn! she had some fine legs.

It doesn't seem right... but this movie was released in July 1982, while Cheers premiered in September of the same year.

Should be fun, we're all vaccinated, and we don't have to worry about being quiet. Love the creativity of these businesses trying to stay afloat.
$100 for 20 people is a phenomenal deal.

Works out to be about $800 less than it would have cost you and one other person to go the movies during normal times.

Couldn’t have picked a better movie, either.

Quite an unsustainable business model. Movie theaters are screwed, and studios have jumped on the opportunity to snatch more control over how studios release their movies,, i.e. major studio films released straight to streaming, etc..,, and that'll be the model from now on.

I've heard of movie theatres selling tickets now for $1 while of course limiting capacity to just a few peeps. They are desperate and on a slippery slope.

    Movie theaters are screwed.

It sucks. Flix was amazing and is now gone unless someone re-opens it here. Fucking dinner and a movie was fun to look forward to.

The industry made a big mistake by not allowing for demand pricing. The big movies could be more expensive and the movies not packing them in could be less expensive. I had no interest in seeing, say, Call of the Wild when the ticket is the same price as, say, The Avengers. But if it sags out of the gate, lower the price! I'd risk it for less money.

Even Disneyland, which fights tooth and nail not to discount things, has made pricing different depending upon the day and/or season.

We would sometimes wait for those questionable, less desirable movies to hit the '2nd-run theaters.' Saw many Coen Bros. movies there. lol

A new movie theater opened the end of March in one end of a mall that doesn't have much else going in it. It has private theater rentals for 20 people, popcorn and soda for every person and unlimited refills for $350.00, expensive popcorn and soda which is typical. Can choose new releases and classic titles.

I haven't been there yet, looks nice by the pics I've seen. There are many movies I can stream and am ok with. But some movies just aren't the same at home and really require a theater experience.
