OK. Here's what went on during Tim and Mark's
morning show out here in zonie land at 93.3 KDKB.

While the band was setting up, the DJs were
talking to some Star Wars geek waiting in line
for days to see the premier of the new SW movie,
and Brian Young played the Star Wars theme for
    them...

Here's the order of the songs, all done
acoustically. There was a lot of talking during
the songs, the usual DLR ranting with plenty of
the cliches he's already using for this tour.
Some of the songs were abbreviated versions only.

    DLR - Vox
    Brian Young - Acoustic Guitar
    Bongos, Tamborine - Ray Luzier
    Bass - James Lorenzo

Acoustic blues jam (w/ DLR on harmonica)
    Mean Street
    Panama
Unknown (at least to me) blues song
    Jump
Cover song - something about 'Kissing and Hugging'
    Runnin' with the Devil
    Little Dreamer
Ice Cream Man (DLR - Acoustic guitar intro)
    Everybody Wants Some
    Dance The Night Away
    And The Cradle Will Rock
    Tin Cup

Tin Cup was an excellent ballad that I am not
familiar with (I hope I don't make an ass of
myself and find out it is on one of DLR's solo
albums). If anybody can fill me in, please do.

It was very entertaining, a lot of the usual DLR
B.S. banter, but also some very funny ad-lib
moments as well. On request of one of the DJs,
he clarified the lyric in 'Ice Cream Man',
something about banana cream that is very hard
to understand on the record. Also clarified the
line in 'Everybody Wants Some', "I see the people
that are looking for a moonbeam".

DLR is doing the best he can with the limited
vocal range he has left, when he sings in the
lower registers it still sounds great. It was
also cool to hear my old friend Brian Young
    getting live radio airplay.

    Thanks for the update.

Did Dave sound bad at times singing? What songs did he try and go too high on?

Dave does not fare well when approaching the high range of some of the old songs, no doubt about it. 'Jump' was a little rough at times, especially the punctuated lines (And I know). 'Dance The Night Away' was a little rough at times, but that is all I remember off the top of my head.

Dave is sure make his rounds to promote the tour. I'd like to hear how some of those songs sounded stripped down.

You have to hand it to Dave for at least getting out there and doing something, it sounds like he's doing almost all VH tunes. Its sad that we can't hear that with the original line-up.

If Dave sounded anything less than perfect, all that proves is that a radio broadcast is not an accurate manner to judge his vocals. Dave sounds as good now as he ever did!!!!!

There's another thread similar to this in the Sammy and Dave Forum, but... in case you want to see the pictures too...
Trap, I didn't hear it, but I've got some pictures to show. They were taken by the station, and they're pretty awesome.

Go to the 'Tim and Mark' page on the site and you can hear a little snippet from the show. Dave and band doing a little bluesy number. Sounded pretty good.

You know, it's posts like this that make me want to leave this site and never come back.

Hey, stop fuckin' cheering like that!!!

On topic, Dave looks cool in those pictures, and though I understand his desire to be an entertainer onstage, I wish he'd stick to dressing more like this, not in those ridiculous gold or yellow outfits. They make him look dated and sad.
