Dave has been too quiet, and its not just because he is making a dvd

For Van Halen to regain their credibility, they need first a killer album, with a label to support and push it, followed by a massive tour that hasn't been seen in many many years.

IMO it's all about the distribution deal!

and getting as much free publicity as possible!

but VH needs to get with the fact that it's in their best interest to cozy up to the internet fans

I really don't see them starting their own record label, strictly because they're the type of guys who could barely organize a trip to the bathroom, let alone a record label. It would definitely require strong, trustworthy management.
