Take a look at this picture. note the stripes in the background. This is one of Vince's pictures from the Sammy Hagar birthday bash at Cabo Wabo.

Now Cabo Wabo is a business, operating for profit, and right there in the background are the EVH stripes. If Ed's sueing everyone who has a website with these stripes, is Sammy about to be sued????

Those stripes were put there when Eddie was the one of the owners. He sold it to Hagar and would have no recourse, just as if he had sold you a striped guitar.

That's a good point, I never thought of that.

I don't think the patent is valid in Mexico, unless Eddie were to file a patent there. So Sammy can't be sued.

I guess Rol could set up shop in Mexico or somewhere outside of the US like a Texas/Mexico border town and continue building the frankie guitars.
