If I'm interpreting the pidgin Klingon correctly, I believe he's trying to imply that if Eddie's next album does NOT carry the Van Halen brand name it will be the final nail in the coffin.

However, the exact opposite is probably closer to the truth. 2 too many singers, way too many cheese ballads and 6 years of total fucking bullshit have damaged the Van Halen brand name to the point where NOTHING short of a reunion of the true band will save that brand name. If Eddie continues to act like a spoiled brat or a bitter old man, and the reunion does not happen, then the only realistic thing for him to do is to start over with no pretentions of it being Van Halen.

they wont drop the name van halen, if they did and still had ed, al, and mike in the band then keep van halen because it will still be van halen. why would you want to see them under a new name and doing vh stuff to me that would still be vh, if a new name then dont do any vh stuff. so they are going to keep the name vh right to the end.

I agree with Ford. It won't be the same band. There's nothing wrong with Eddie continuing music. I hope he does if this doesn't work out. But if Dave ain't on it (or Mike, as is looking to possibly be the case), I don't think it should be Van Halen. It's just a gut feeling I have. I don't even consider any of their albums after 1984 to be the same band.

Anyway, just my humble opinion. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Everybody wins if Van HALEN reunites. Except the Hagarites, but they can dream about the mythical Guns N Cheeses project which doesn't appear likely anytime soon.

This is my first post on the links. I have been scanning this board since the beginning of this fiasco, and I had to sign in just to get in on this.
Van HALEN is the only thing people will accept by that name, and anything else is a waste of time. Hagar, Bach, whoever. It isnt going to matter.
The Diamond One will be back heading the ship soon enough, and when he does all this cheesy bullshit music we are subjected to now will be just a bad memory.
By the way, FORD, the way you clown people like this last guy is hilarious! Keep it coming!
