EVH: Definitely. Playing guitar was my sanctuary. It was the one place I could go to if I got fucked around by a girlfriend, or anyone else, for that matter. It still is. If there’s something I can’t deal with, I can just spend hours playing. It’s a God-given gift – I certainly don’t know where the ideas come from. They’re obviously given to you, and you have to keep your fingers moving and your mind quiet. I try my best to not think about thinking, so I can just let it flow. Because when I start thinking, forget it. <br />So....why he isn't playing guitar ? ? ?

Too bad that he has resorted only to videos. I was just at NAMM, and people say that Eddie probably would never come to NAMM again, because NAMM is too big! That sucks...something gets so big, and we're penalized for it!

By all accounts, his condition hasn't got any better in the last couple of years. I doubt any company he endorses would have him appear until he sorts his personal situation out.

Achievements:
I've heard they have to escort him in and out, roping the path off and trying to be quiet about it and even then he get's totally mauled. He's (probably even still) the most popular guitarist ever to show up there, I don't know that I would want to go through all that hassle either. Anyone who's ever been to NAMM knows what a mad house it can be as it is.
