For what its worth, the Dave quote has been added to the main page of MTV.com. This does not add much fact behind it. MTV also ran a page about Eddie's "Cancer" too, then retracted the story.
Man . . I hope this is not true!

I had a chilling thought which hopefully is just BS in my own mind, but nodody really knows anything so everyone can only guess. But I remember when the final Queen album came out, and Brian May was on Much Music doing a promo interview for the new CD. The question of a tour came up, and of course if they were going to tour America this time round (Freddie wouldn't tour America as he didn't feel they had the success they deserved, he was right in my opinion), anyway, Brian May's response to the question was that he wanted to tour but Freddie really didn't want to tour this album. Never was there ever any indication of any illness at this point. Wasn't long after that it was announced that Freddie Mercury had passed away. His illness was kept under wraps to the very end. Is there another secret in Rock being kept well hidden? I just can't think of any other reason why DLR wouldn't be slinging mud if there was another failed attempt to get it together. MTV reposting a cancer story is rather odd, scary too.

I just don't see Val going back to TV if Eddie was sick so don't worry about that on bro.

MTV really hasn't stated anything positive about Van Halen in a long time. VH1 on the other hand, has been doing a lot. From the Rock Show to their umpteenth thousand polls. Strangely, VH1 has not posted the Dave quotes yet. Why? I also haven't heard anything on the radio either about this. Somethings not right. Either that or I'm looking WAY to much into this. It could be as simple as Dave put it. For some reason, I think something is up. That quote, at least on print didn't sound right to me. I did NOT hear it so, I could be mistaken.

Chris, check this out. Al Dimeola is a serious monster. https://youtu.be/eJWUD3BHnNA Too many of these guys were technical as fuck but their music sucked. Not the case with Al.
