uh, no - I've heard only a few songs off that album myself. "Without You", whatever LowLife played on K-Scum, and unfortunately, when I first came 'round here, "How Many Say I" was constantly being talked about, so like a passerby looking at a car crash, I downloaded it (illegally, of course) and listened to it. I think I would've rather have been "rick rolled" at that point...

The only thing on "III" that remotely resembles the crunchy rock that its album cover suggests is "Fire in the Hole".

Thanks Broke for starting this all-purpose thread. Perfect place to present some all-purpose gems.

Rik Emmett, formerly of Triumph, still keeping busy and still kicking ass.

The original version of what would become Yes's "Love Will Find A Way" when Trevor Rabin was still crafting it together.

This quite simply needs no introduction......

I love the new breed of acoustic virtuosos: Eric Mongrain, Andy McKee, Jason King etc, but they owe it all to this guy who was tapping out sculptures of sound back in the eighties.

    The guy was a genius.

The one and only Michael Hedges........

A man could lose himself in a country like this.

yeah LL, I've felt it was long overdue...you're quite welcome.

Graeme, great clip. That guys is a monster. Like you, I'm really in awe of some of the things this new breed of players are doing on acoustic guitars.

Eric Mongrain's technique is incredible but you're right...all roads lead back to Hedges.
    Stay out of it, dude.

Damn, she's a looker. Too bad she has about as much soul as a Polka.

A fine, albeit highly subjective line-up, for sure.

I'll go along with Mr. Crowley. Good to see Gilmour included. Otherwise, most of those guys have better solos in their own arsenals. And most of us would have at least 8 different artists and/or solos on our personal lists.

How many viewers will undoubtedly be expecting number one to be he who is so glaringly absent?

I was expecting him to be in there somewhere, any way...

Here's a question for the .38 Special fans, if there are any around here:

In their early days, Donnie Van Zant and Don Barnes were listed as vocalists, with Barnes also credited with guitar while Van Zant was not credited with playing any kind of instrument. Yet, I believe their most popular songs were all sung by Barnes! If I'm correct about that, then what the hell did Van Zant do during a .38 Special show since he wouldn't have been the singer when they played their most popular songs and wouldn't be playing an instrument?

Love 38 Special and looking forward to seeing them this summer at this country event I am going.

Dan Barnes is underrated as a guitarist. Always found his leads to be tasteful and melodic.

Our band is actually going to do "Rocking into the Night" and working on it now.

Billy, I saw .38 special in 1983 as they toured in support of the Special Forces album and Barnes, Van Zandt and Jeff Carlisi all sang. In fact Van Zandt played guitar for most if not all of the show. If you've ever seen the album jacket it's scary how much he looked like Ronnie in the photos.
