I dont think WB are looking to make a huge amount of money out of the remasters, I think its more just something nice for the hardcore fans.

I cant honestly see a way boycotting these things is gonna change anything, I say enjoy these small pleasures, who knows how long we're gonna have to wait for the next course

I'll buy them as my old CDs wear out or get lost. I picked up DD the other day, because my old one was skipping. My ears just aren't good enough to really hear the difference.

Well, if I was a smart man... a copy for the car, for the house, for the girlfriend's. The more places we can stash VH CDs the better. If you've ever found yourself needing Light Up The Sky on a dark night halfway through Wisconsin you'll know what I'm talking about.

I'm not going to speak for anyone else, but there's no way I'm boycotting Van Halen. They've given me many great albums, and no matter what happens in the coming months, I'll be able to listen to those albums forever. Everyone has to decide for themselves, but I refuse to boycott VH.

I'm not going to buy the remasters until I hear something, too. It's stupid that Van Halen is avoiding us and not giving us any hope that they're coming back. What the hell did we do to them to make them hide?

they did the remaster catalog because they knew the new album with roth would not be ready until march, it is just something to hold us over. wb remastering only the first six albums is a subtle way of saying...yes, dave is back, new album out soon. this is just to hold us over. wb has tons of artists. it would make no sense whatsoever for them to remaster half of vh's catalog if dave would not be back.
