My Prediction

I'm a casualty of the Pleasure Dome, and I don't have much time to spend at forums anymore, but I thought I'd offer my prediction on VH after reading some posts here:
VH will sit tight until next year when they are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Then they will release a bunch of old stuff, and maybe some new stuff. Aerosmith released a new CD and was inducted at the same time, followed with a tour. That would be huge and would get tons of publicity. So my thinking is that we will have to wait until 2003 before we get anything.

I was just checking out the HOF site, and I see that the ceremonies for both 2000 and 2001 took place in March. From what I can see, the site doesn't really explain their chronology, but VH doesn't actually become eligible until February 10th of 2003. I'm not sure it's realistic to believe that, given only a month between their eligibility and the ceremony that VH would actually get in in 2003.

Someone who has studied the HOF's history might know better, but I think it's very possible that even if they are a first ballot winner, they will actually go into the Hall in 2004.

Then they will release a bunch of old stuff, and maybe some new stuff.

If WB owns the rights to the old stuff, we could very possibly get some old music (new to us though, and that's all that matters) long before VH decides to do anything.
