EVH Mention on Millionaire with Gene $immons

Anybody catch this. One of Gene Simmons's questions was something like "what noise is made when something travels at the speed of sound?" One of the potential answers was "An Eddie Van Halen solo". When Regis first said it, he totally mis-pronounced Halen. He corrected himself and Gene got the question correct.

I saw it. I was expecting Gene to say something more, since I know that he was the guy that got VH signed.

Did anyone see how much of a arrogant idiot Lars Urich was on that show?

I really don't like that guy!

Gene missed a beautiful opportunity to slam the band right there on national television. Gene should have said, "well is it definitly not an Eddie Van Halen solo becuase they are in the 'where are they now' file." Maybe that would have sparked them to start opening their mouths.

I saw it! Regis pronounced it as "a Eddie Van Heflin guitar solo." Then immediately corrected himself. Gene Simmons smiled when that was mentioned as the possible choice. Gene did not fair too well. Lars is definitely a moron. Mark McGrath was doing pretty well for awhile.

I'm sorry. Regis said a "Eddie Van HEUSEN guitar solo." Gene smiled when Regis corrected it with Eddie Van Halen.

Lars was such a bozo. Regis asked him if he liked the instrumental music to "Who Wants to be a Millionare?" Lars said, "No." "Where did you get it from, Napster?" He tried to be funny in between questions but it was a disguise for low intelligence. He did get to $125,000 but Mark McGrath was hinting answers during the first few easy questions.

Gene Simmons went out at the $32, 000 mark I believe. He was not too good here. He was a good sport though and tried his best.

Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray knew his stuff. I have seen him clean house on Rock and Roll Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune before. I knew he was good. He was doing well until a tricky question forced him to go with the audience life line and it cost him.

No more Rockers left guys. The reamining contestents are Gladys Knight, Amy Grant, Sisqo, the brunette from the Dixie Chix and two "pillow biters" from the Backstreet Boys.

I thought it was pretty funny since the rumor is that they can't stand each other anymore. Gene went out way before 32000. Thats the minimum that each star got. Gene missed a question on on the greek meaning of sp? phycaderm? We all know its and elephant so he answered long nose. Dumb ass, derm means skin and since the only answer with skin was thick skin, Jesus these guys we dumb. Especially Lars, just plain dumb. Only two of the ten could answer one of the fastest fingers questions naming state starting from west to east. any 5th grader could have answered it. It shows that these guys skip school and play instruments all day. They would never make it in the real world.

Damm was at band practice and missed it.

Mark McGrath is a very bright guy, went to college with him. He's the man on Rock and Roll Jeopardy but he always plays against complete idiots, musicians who know nothing about music.

I love hearing what a moron Lars is, just confirming what the entire world knows anyway. To top that off, he's a suck ass drummer now too.

Synth, no I didn't he was a couple years older than me. I had a class with him once, and as far as I know, he didn't even have a band back then. But I didn't really know him.

The spelling is 'pachyderm'

Regis mispronounced Halen because basic phonics is not his srtong suit. See HALEN...I call this the vowel-space-e rule in class...Anytime you have a word spelled with vowel, then consonant, then e, the first vowel will always sound long...
Examples...Mike Anthony...long I sound in Mike

Fire In The Hole...Long I in Fire...Long o in Hole...
