I am the Metal Director for the rock station here in town.I Just got Gary's new CD.It is a really solid CD.Going to try and get a interview with him for my metal show.Let you guys know how it goes. And I will try to find a place to post it so you can all hear it.If any of you have any GOOD questions worth asking let me know and I may ask him.
Are we going to have to wait for Wolfie to start his own band before we get another Van Halen CD?

Ask Gary why there are hardly any guitar solo's on Tribe Of Judah?

Tell him that Extreme and VH fans want solo's!

As far as I know from talking to the record company there is a small promo tour planned.
Are we going to have to wait for Wolfie to start his own band before we get another Van Halen CD?

Ask Gary if Mike Mangini will be returning or if the Ex-GodSmack drummer is his replacement for good?!?! which would suck, cus Mike is a kick-ass drummer!

Oh and maybe be slightly original and try your best not to ask about an Extreme reunion or bring up Van Halen...

Oh I got one idea that contradicts my no Van Halen question suggestion... You could maybe ask if it's true that Mike did very little recording on III...

Ask him what the creative process was with him and Eddie. People are always saying Eddie took full control of the lyrics and music when Gary joined. Ask him if in fact that was true and what input he had to the music in VHIII

Yes, please ask Gary about the recording of VHIII. I read before that he though that they didin't give it enough time to produce the record and make it sound right.

In my opinion that excuse is just that, an excuse. It's a load of shit, because I feel that recording should be all about capturing the vibe, the feel and the energy of a musical performance. Post production is a great tool to enhance small things that need help in the sound department, but I feel that no amount of production will fix bad chemistry and hasty soungwriting.

Gary also said that he shouldn't have sung out of his register. I agree with that. He sounded like shit through most of the album.
Ed and Al have absolutely no excuse for letting this piece of musical garbage to come out of the 5150 studios.

Sorry I rambled on a bit oiff topic, but I'm glad I made my peace about III
