It was a good ending. I know people won't like it but honestly outside of The Shield and The Good Place, I am unsure if there was ever universal acclaim for an ending of a show. It ended how it should have ended. That moment with Walt was the reason why he said what he said in court. Trying to make it different Always has been a con man. I likely missed this somewhere else but we got a time of the Gene world which was only about a year after Walt died. I think he said to The Color Purple that it was 2 years prior when he was kidnapped in the van. So Gene wasn't on the lamb that long of a time.

I know its out there but in a year or two will watch Better Call Saul and BB in chronological order.

I was very satisfied with BB's finale. Didn't know if you omitted that intentionally. Seemed to receive favorable reviews from people, however.

BCS's finale itself wasn't epic but the entire story was really well done and concluded nicely.

It was unintentional omission. I liked BB"s ending.

Now thinking about it and seeing last nights, maybe they could have had Walt and Saul get whisked away together living out their days as The Odd Couple. Walt being Felix and Jimmy being Oscar. Yes I jest

I was hoping for a Nacho flash back, but they still delivered on my prediction* of Chuck, Mike, Kim and even the return of Jimmy to offer insightful closure.

The time machine discussions with Walter, Mike and eluded to with Chuck all hit home for me when it was all over. Regret for past deeds, change and redemption.

I thought Gene was a total dirt bag the last two episodes and actually felt a kind of hate for the character and what he had become... even after being Saul. Jimmy returning made me feel better.

I'm looking forward to re-watching the finale with no breaks and paying closer attention to it all now that I know the out come. Great, satisfying ending.

*My prediction was based on a hope that the six main characters from the start of the series would all return in some capacity to offer closure. That almost happened. I feel like Betsy stole any time for from the grave sage remarks that Howard or Nacho should have offered. lol!

Jimmy and Kim having a smoke together was just iconic.

Really thought we would have seen Hank this last season of Saul. Oh well.

The book that Chuck was holding, The Time Machine, wasn't that shown at the end of season 3 on the table that Chuck was kicking before the lantern fell over and started the fire that killed him?

Default Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul (SPOILERS)

I thought it was fine. BTW, Six Feet Under also had a great, great finale.

In hindsight I almost kind of wish they hadn’t included the Gene stuff. A story on how he became Saul would’ve been fine with me, and then maybe a limited series on what happened after—or, even better, a movie, like El Camino.

But since they decided to do both, I think they did about as well as they could have being both a prequel and partial sequel.

I'm with Number 47 about despising Gene in the last couple of episodes. It became almost impossible to root for our anti-hero. Saul finally copping to all of his misdeeds and telling the judge his name was Jimmy was an amazing act of redemption on his part. I think he ultimately did it for Kim.

Those last six episodes were great. I'm satisfied. Wrapped up nicely.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
