Yeah that’s what I would think too. They have worked around him so much they would know he doesn’t drink caffeine. Howard also mentioned to his wife … “if something happens”. It’s Jimmy
But they don’t have time to launch a whole new storyline if he dies.
I still don’t get what is so important about Howard.
I mean their lawyers , they don’t need the settlement money THAT BAD.
It’s not like they plan to retire off that money, Saul obviously has a new office and everything

I don't believe it has to do with "what's so important about Howard." This storyline involving Howard is all about Kim and, to a lesser degree, Saul.
One thing we should keep in mind--just because a character was not on BB doesn't mean that character is no longer alive post-Saul.
Having said that, the only one who I think should be dead during BB's timeline is Lalo. Especially since Gus took joy in telling Hector that all of the Salamancas were dead (S4 of BB).

I decided to rewatch BB but skipping most of the family drama parts. Wanted to see a bit more of Saul and Gus. Saul made a quip and while this could have been simply a moment like Luke and Leia having the hots for each other. A few years later Lucas changed his mind. So when Skylar and Walt are having problems and Mike bugs the house, Saul has a talk with Walt about simply finding a mistress or simply getting a new woman. He says "shit my 2nd wife had sex with my step dad...." Now I don't think that has anything to do with Better Call Saul but does anybody remember if Saul was married before Kim? I simply think it was a line thrown in without thinkng there was a series to follow.
Its cool to see and hear Saul and now knowing a bit how he go to where he is at. Gus looks so much younger though. Mike as well. Skylar, Flynn and Marie annoying. Hank is actually annoying too. Kind of like Del Griffith with a badge. Well the annoying Del Griffith. Still a great show

Del Griffith...annoying?? Only to Neal Page. For me he was completely entertaining. lol
Yeah, Gus and Mike (especially Mike!) look so much younger on BB.
You could also chalk up Saul's line about his 2nd wife/stepdad as just a B.S. being thrown out there to convince Walter of something--he is a lawyer after all. LOL

Watching The Larry Sanders Show yesterday... forgot that Bob O. played Larry's agent for several episodes.

I did find Del to be funny. Just would be annoying to be stuck with him as the first hour of the movie. Hank is annoying. Always yapping. Cracking jokes. What I will find interesting in Better Call Saul is how he goes from knowing who Mike is and having Mike shadow him for Lalo to their relationship in Breaking Bad. Much closer.
Gale is still very weird and creppy.
