As far as the "Tool" comment.....isn't Sam a big tool fan......I guess he's trying to align himself with a newer band he apprecitates.

As far as Michael Anthony recording with Sammy....in my eyes....this is BIG news....I am assuming this person who sent this email is Sam's "Brad Starks"?

The likelihook of DLR and VH reuniting isn't good.....

As far as the bridge to Sammy...I wouldn't say it's any closer. Mikey's always remained good friends with Sam, he's even stayed friendly with Dave.

Also Tool isn't some radical departure from VH. Sure it's different but I think the comparison was alluding to heavy and fresh.

As for Tool, I like that band but the thought of Slash, Schon, Hagar and Anthony making music like that is pretty laughable.

Seriously though, I am really looking forward to this. I mailed Neal to see if I could extract any more info out of him. He was the one that double confirmed the story for me initially.
