If you Halen-heads want to hear Eddie Van Halen play guitar with Roger Waters of Pink Floyd fame, get on Napster and get the song "Lost Boys Calling." I love this song myself, any reactions from you guys?
Wait wait, I SOOO want to start a crappy rumor. VAN HALEN gets new frontman, Roger Waters! Van Halen covers "Comfortably Numb"!!

I like that song alot. And I agree that the solos (there's two I think) sound awesome. Again, it's nice to see as many sides of a great musician like Eddie as possible.

As I recall, we discussed this song earlier this year. I think I said that I enjoy the many different "Sonic Landscapes" that Eddie Van Halen creates!
And you're right Glenn, this song allows Ed to show us he can create all DIFFERENT sorts of "Sonic Landscapes"...

You guys who seem to worship Eddie need to realize, though, that it was Waters who wrote this (obviously). In fact, I can remember reading somewhere that Eddie kinda just played a piece of music handed to him (roughly, parts of the solos he made). If you guys LIKED this song, expand your horizon more and listen to Pink Floyd. If there was a turn Eddie wanted Gary to bring about IMO, it is a facet of deep writing that Waters can produce. UNFORTUNATELY instead of writing quality like this, we got How Many Say I...and uhh... well.... its just not... uhhh... good

The song's pretty cool, but Eddie's solos just blew me away. I was seriously picking my jaw off the floor after I heard it. Eddie fuckin' rules

uh, Mdoggie, with all due respect: I OWN EVERY SINGLE Pink Floyd album.
Everything from Piper At The Gates of Dawn, Saucerful Of Secrets-------All the way through The Final Cut, Momentary, The Division Bell, AND Pulse.
I have expanded my horizons for quite sometime...
(Incidentally my favorite Pink Floyd album is Meddle. How many people out there own it?)
Rock on

I too bought the CD with "Lost Boys Calling." I like the song a lot and I LOVE Floyd.
Some of you guys might like some of the work Eddie did with Rich Wyman on Wyman's CD "Fatherless Child." You might try looking for "The Water Sings" on Napster...it's a really beautiful keyboard and guitar duet, with a few background vocal things going on. "The Little Things" has Ed on rhythm and lead, and "Blinded By Pain" has solos by Ed.
