hello everbody,

hope at least sammy and dave will do it with their tour to good old europe again. i don´t expect anything from halen anymore. they are as dead as they can be. they don´t mean shit to anyone here. they don´t play em on the radio. nothing...and it´s their own fault. they have neglected (sam and dave too) all the time. at least this tour could possibly attracted 1000 people per concert. people like steve lukather from toto can do it here. why not sam and dave.
come on, european fans, where are u? All u dutchmen ..cry out loud for hagar and roth!!!

I totally have to agree with you. Most people over here have no clue about this rocking band.
Asked if they know who Van halen is, you would probably get the answer:"Um, aren't those the guys who once did 'the final countdown?'"
They are seen as all this other stupid posers like Poison, Europe and Scorpions. Nobody knows the Classics.

I have to disagree in one point:
"Jump" is still be playing on the radio sometimes here in good old germany.
But that´s it about VH.
Even the guitar magazines here don´t write about VH anymore and the peavey wolfgang guitar is selling horrible bad too !

Jump gets played in every stadium all over Europe.

it just got played at a basketball game transmitted on sport-channel DSF.

i even heard Unchained during a soccer-game transmission in the background on French TV. But that was really special.

jump used to be the entrance-music for soccer-team olympic marseille, back in early 90s.

i like the fact, when asked what i listen to, and i say "van halen", people go like: what's that? are u into classic music.

i don't wanna share great things.

but i'd like to get the Pretty Woman Videoclip!!!

Jump is the reason along with Why cant this be love that VH has such a bad reputation in the UK - these are the only top 10 hits the band has had here.

That's absolutely right Leroy. It's the same thing overhere in Germany. VH is regarded as a soft Pop/Rock band like Bryan Adams and only a few people know that VH can also make some rock'n'roll music. [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]

Unfortunately, VH is regarded as a joke...if anyone knows them at all..
