I think both of them sounded great, but honestly Ed, after Dave, Sammy was kind of disappointing. No, it wasn't his voice or anything he did, it was just that it wasn't a Van Halen concert, it was a Sammy Hagar concert and I'm just not that much of Sammy Hagar fan. Yeah, he did Runaround and a few others, but it didn't excite me as much as if you were there I guess. Aww thanks, you're sweet too. But the point I'm trying to make really and I hope you don't take this the wrong way, is that Dave is Van Halen honey. I know what everyone's saying and I know you might not get along with him, but you ain't getting along with Sammy either. And talk about a circus? He even had a red wig and a jester hat on up there! So take Dave to the hairdresser, but it isn't about looks is it? All right then, so do you really want to take a third of your show and devote it to Hagar tunes? Shit, even Yankee Rose is more like Van Halen than I Can't Drive 55. And if I have to pay good money to hear Where Eagles Poop at a Van Halen concert one more time...what's that? I would tell Eddie that it is time to make peace (both personally and professionally) with David Lee Roth. Healing this old open wound once and for all would help him get on with his life. Let bygones be bygones, accept that he and Dave will never be best of friends, go ahead and record a reunion CD, do a major stop tour, do the VH1 thing, get it all out and in the past. Once that is done, say adios to Van Halen (the band) and move on as Eddie Van Halen, the musician.

By doing this, he would come out as the bigger person in all of this; his estranged wife would respect him, his son would learn from his example, and his fans would love him for it. And least of all, he would regain the professional respect that has been so scarce of late. And put a fitting cap on one of the greatest musical stories of all time. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Thank you for all the great music. If you never produce another album, its ok I have great memories of the ones you have done. Is there anything we the fans can do for you? What's that....say a little prayer for you and your family and respect your right to do as you choose? Done!
