This should probably be in the opinions forum, but I was wondering if anyone has seen G N'R this year. They're coming to Tampa on the 13th, & wanted to see if you all had seen any shows with the new line-up.
Thanks!WHAT IS UNDERSTOOD NEED NOT BE DISCUSSED!

I tried to go see them here in Vancouver, but a certain singer was too drunk to get on a airplane in LA and make it to the show.
So instead I watched as people rioted when they canceled the concert.
I'm done with Axle Rose. I love GnR, but call me when the original band gets back together and Axle is actually interested in showing up for a concert."The last singer was a singer, I am THE singer" - DLR

I've read mixed reviews. I guess Axl has been a lot better than his performance on the MTV awards show were he sounded like a dog with it's balls in a vice. It may be worth the price of admission to see Buckethead's solo.

Yeah man, I'm not real interested in seeing this line-up, but since there is no other "Rock" concerts (last one here was Sam & Dave) in the near future, I thought it might be a nice treat.

Yeah, Axl missing concerts is certainly nothing new. How many shows were cancelled during their heyday? Plenty. This shows that he continually "misses the boat" when it comes to taking care of the fans. It's too bad too, because he was/is one of the best frontmen to ever be onstage.

Who knows how Axl will do. Depends what mood his is in on a given day. But the band he put together is amazing. Especially the mighty Buckethead. I been listening to that maniac since 1996, although he has been around since like 1991 I believe.. People use to look at me like I was mad when I spoke of this unknown masked virtuoso.
Sure, Axl and Slash are the original pair and all that jazz.. but in terms of chops and virtuosity, Buckethead spanks Slash like a stepchild. And since the drummer for the new Guns is Brain from Primus, who also plays on most of Bucket's solo albums, the chemistry is already there. The band plays the old G n' R stuff perfectly. Add to that Buckethead's wild guitar solo spot. Which lets face it, how many guys today can even play? This guy will leave you cross-eyed..Classic G n' R tunes + Buckethead= Dont miss it.
Check out these Buckethead albums if you wanna hear one of the only dudes out there pushing the envelope..
"Colma"- an all acoustic album.. very cool
"Monsters & Robots"- wild shit. Les Claypool, Brain & Bootsy Collins are on this album. Produced by Bill Laswell
"Electric Tears"- his newest album just released last month. Also amazing and spacey as hell..

GNR played Cleveland Sunday night...got a pretty good review. they came on about 10, typical...crowd estimated at 10,000...called the rhythm section of Brain and Tommy Stinson "airtight."
