The Gary interview from foundry music sounds intriguing, but I really don't feel like sitting there for a half-hour to listen.

If anyone has transcribed this, or knows where one can be located, it would be much appreciated.

I'm trying to figure out why a person who likes every Van Halen album, except Van Halen 3, would spend 30 minutes listening to an interview with "the person" who could be held responsible for his/her disliking of VH 3.
Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett

I actually tried to burn it to disc earlier this evening, and the burn was successful.

However, when I played it back, it sounded like a Smurf was interviewed by one of the Chipmunks. I don't know what happened in the burn process, but I was pissed.

Gary kinda mentions Ray Danniels. When the interviewer asks about unreleased Extreme material, and if it will ever see the light of day, Gary responds with a "It's, uh...tied up with a former manager". That tells you what a cock Danniels was, not only with Van Halen, but with Extreme as well. Seems like this prick has his hands in a lot of cookie jars, and he'll be snackin' from them for years to come.

Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen. ."

I think the person who's truly responsible for VHIII is Eddie himself. It's basically an Eddie solo album. Eddie was firmly in charge of the band at that point, even going so far as to put his name first in the liner note credits and Gary's name last.

LOL! Not laughing at what happened with you, Vince, but I'm just reminded of what happened with my old computer every time I ran Real Player. No matter how many times I would install/uninstall RP or even upgrade to a new version, it would play everything at double speed. It was very strange to say the least, so I really couldn't listen to any Real clips for about 6 months. Damn, I'm glad to get a new computer...

Back on the subject, I think a transcription of the interview would be worthless for the most part, unless it would be heavily edited for content. I think the interview could easily be shrunk down to about 10 minutes from 35.

    Thanks, Scott!

It was still a very good interview, though. 35 minutes, and I was not disappointed with anything he had to say. He was pretty forthcoming, except when he mentioned Danniels as a "ex-manager".

Danniels must have burned a lot of bridges. I hope he gets his worthless, greedy ass sued desert dry. This bastard is now going to get a cut not only from any past VH venturesm but also from any future VH stuff as well.

Even me the Dave head would prefer Van Hagar over Van Nothing.

Believe it or not that says a lot!

I don't doubt that about Danniels - but is that just speculation, or do you know something about his arrangements w/ =VH=????

    Just curious...
