Eddie in USA Today Weekend

It's noting real new but it was in my weekend paper. (USA Weekend is like a Parade magazine)

The most interesting thing to me is the part about "Today, his management folks say...." Does this mean VH actually has a manager now?

The actual newspaper had a photo of Eddie that I believe was taken at the premier he attended with Val about a year ago. The website (usaweekend.com) did not have the photo.

hopefully this means van halen may rise again to the top of rock and roll. in this day and age of evil rap that speaks of killing people, calls women bitches and has no melodies it would be nice to have a long hiar rock and roll band at the fore front of music again. britney, jessica simpson, no doubt, dave matthews, green apple quick step, pink and others just do not cut it. i tihnk i speak for all fans brothers and sisters when the hulkamaniac brother demands that van halen rise to the occasion again!

Agreed. But the article implies that they (USA Weekend) contacted someone in management for VH.

The fact that VH has management is news. And whoever they are, I sure wouldn't want them representing me. God knows they have really made the brothers look good...

I have to believe that USAToday must do a lot of these "Ask The Editor" features several months out. It's my opinion that whomever put this piece together hasn't gotten the newsrelease that VH doesn't have any management anymore.

thing is, when did they contact them? doesn't it seem funny to anyone that ed is being mentioned when dave and sam are planning this big ol tour? nothing about eddie except in golf digest then all of a sudden this...i don't think anyone from the USA Today spoke to someone in camp halen anytime recent to be totally honest. "management" can mean a variety of things anyway...

nah. lead time on those things are huge. i'd bet half those letters are manufactured anyways. for example, also in today's column-what kind of idiot writes a letter that says "what ever happened to Jenifer Love Hewitt? i saw her in Heartbreakers last year, and now it seems she has disappeared." more likely, the original letter said simply "whatever happened to Jennifer Love Hewitt?" they embellish the shit out of those letters so some hick that lives under a rock has some idea who a bim like JLH is. an EVH blurb the same week as the DLR/SH tour announcement is just coincidence.
