Peavey Rep Pissed at Ed!

A very good friend of mine works for a major music chain store that handles the Peavey line. He said when the Peavey rep got back from NAMM the other day he couldn't quit talking about what an ass Ed made of the company. Said that they had set up the whole meet and greet autograph session at their booth and then refused to let Eddie do it because he was hammered. That's the reason he didn't sign anything. Peavey wouldn't let him. Said he was WASTED! Ya'll don't rip me a new one for this post, I'm just the messenger. Hell, he's my hero to!

1. It is merely a rumor.
2. We should all take a good long look at ourselves, we could all use a little improvement.
3. He DID NOT look like a homeless person. Eddie comes from a time in rock where the music, not the clothing mattered. He looked fine to me. But even if he didn't, I wouldn't really care. It's his playing that matters to me.
4. I bet there are reasons, on both sides, that caused that marriage not to work out. Since we weren't involved, let's not judge to quickly or harshly.

if this is true...it ain't that great a shock. Lets just all hope Ed gets his shit together, we have enough of his music to last a lifetime. Perhaps one day he'll surprise us and give us another album featuring his talents.

I would agree with point 3 if the seventies (when VH started) were not the 'glam' period, and if Edward had always appeared like that (which he hasn't).
If I was a Peavey Rep I would be pissed at him.......then again he probably wouldn't give a shit.
It near broke my heart to see him looking like he did.

I agree that the 70's had some glam, but that hadn't infused itself into heavy metal yet. Check out pics of Eddie on stage, he never dressed up, at all. And I really don't see him looking bad like you do. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, I just don't see it.

While I don't defend Ed's behavior, or alleged behavior, I am defending his attire.

How many people got all up in arms back in 1992 when Eddie Vedder stumbled out of Seattle looking like death warmed over? Apparently it didn't offend THAT many people, considering the fashion trends it (grunge) started.

Let's quit worrying about Ed's appearance and clothes. Besides, he was wearing the fingerless gloves back in '98 in the Without You video. Were we appalled by that back then too?
