Yep. Old news. Coverdale did retract his statements stating that he would consider working with Eddie and that nothing was ever planned.

Maybe for Eddie's rumored multi-singer project?

odd how old all the news is on the page. Seems like someone would have noticed before that Coverdale said he has recorded 20+ songs with the band. Roth says last spring (01) he worked on three songs with Eddie a year ealier (00) and everone thinks he is back. Coverdale says he has two cd worth of material recorded and I don't remember seeing anything about it. Maybe I just misssed it.

During the 80's, he claimed that he used to go "hang" with Robert Plant and they would critique rock-singers together. Robert Plant was asked about this and coined the phrase "David Coverversion" and denied socializing with Coverdale.

It took a full year to bury this piece of shit rumor about a piece of shit singer, and I can't believe people are still buying it.

This entire column is 2 years old. Puffy and Jennifer arrested in a shooting. Enema-m's family suing him. And I'm reasonably certain that Curtis Mayfield only died once, as most people do.

For the record, the Covercheeseball website referenced was a fan site with no connection to the hasbeen hair farmer, his managment or label. Coverversion himself said that the interview, and the recording sessions described, never took place.

And they never will, thank God!

lol FH....... I remember hearing an interview with Coverdale, wow it's been about 2 years now, where he denied any involvement with Eddie. It's just really weird see where he has said he's worked on so many songs and been in talks with Eddie. Maybe Tawny whacked him once to many times I quess....
