Hi all,
I am just in the process of uploading my new report.
See what you think.
basically the details regarding the Sound and the Filming are 100% guaranteed...
The rest is speculation, rumor and information combining and a mixture of what I have been told/heard/mailed etc...

It's a good read I think and I hope it gets a good reception, but like I say at the end...
Until the guys strut out before the camera's themselves...anything goes!

Good stuff Andrew. You can only print what you hear but I am 99.99% sure that a album has been recorded with Dave and that he is still in the band. But how did some TBS rumours make it onto your page?

Let's hope the rumours of the band wanting to go out on top are false. I can live with the fact that they may only tour once more, but no more new music after that...

For the record those few 'TBS' rumors...
Just taking what has been bandied about and adding my personal thoughts to it.
To make the report as complete as possible and mention the rumors if anyone hasn't heard them.

The Journey thing I got from the band members themselves, the Guitar Center and Hotel rumors from here and the manager thing because I got a laugh out of it

As I said, just adding my thoughts underneath the already reported rumors - hence the title THE LEFTOVER RUMORS!!

Take the top half of the report as mine, take the second half as just rounding things out - don't shoot me for mentioning them

ok...

this sounds way cool. but i cannot see peeps passing on this because they fear loss of $$$. a van halen reunion with the original lineup is guranteed huge bucks and they are gonna set the stage afire. wb will give them the full backing they need, they're silly not to do so ya know?

with all the silence so far and all the rumors (lord knows we've heard a lot

) it is possible that this could be the last tour, etc but we'll have to wait for an announcement like anything else i guess.

one thing is for sure, we are definitely getting closer...

it's almost time for those lights to go down...

...i can hear the intro of mean streeet now..

For the most part this sounds positive. I fear that unless everything goes down well this may be the end of VH as we know it. I think we are in for a very big year.

Why isn't this in the rumour mill?
Lets hope some of this is true. I for one seriously doubt these guys could tour for that length of time. They aren't exactly spring chickens, not to mention some of the alleged health problems.

To me, this is defintly a postive report. If a tour is going to be as big of an event as it says, then it's understandable that finalizing things will have to be done carefully and might run into obstacles.

As for this being a last run for VH to go out on top...well, it'd be the way I'd want them to do it. Course I hope it isn't though. One thing for sure is that Eddie will continue to make music...maybe not under the Van Halen name, but I would bet on him continuing on future projects of some sort.

one thing i absolutely do not believe is Eddie trying to mess with the peavey amps to sound like old marshalls.
it just doesn't make any sense.
the 5150 II is the latest incarnation of his sig. amp, and it's not even a year old.

Well, the general rule is if a report is made (On the web, TV or whatever) that the masses can talk about and compare notes with, it goes to main (at least till its totally discredited), however, if its something just one guys seen/heard/witnessed, and noone else can judge for themselves, its a rumor mill job.

I agree VanEdge...I don't see Edward trying to squeeze a sound out of his 5150s so they'll sound like his old Marshall. Personally, I'd be happy if he ditched the harmonizer, because that takes some of the "brown" out of his sound.

Thanks for the support...just awesome.
I just wanted to let you know very late last night I edited 3 items out of the LEFTOVER RUMORS.
They were the ones started or helped along by "TBS"...I added them in initially, but I didn't want anyone getting confused that I was supporting or helping continue those rumors. So I kept to the ones I can varify and commented on those.
Kept the hotel one though. That was too funny !!

The rest are mine

OK guys....I am off to the Uk for a week - the Gods Of AOR gig. If any UK posters are going - please say hi.

Otherwise, I will see what other stuff I can turn up for next time.

One thing though - I don't need to describe this to you - the feeling of anticipation on what's to come!! Damn, I can't wait for new tunes...it has been far too long.
