Here is the situation. The earth is about to be destroyed, but fortunately for us we have the means to move to another planet. The only kicker is that we can't take much with us in fact only one cd can go. What's it going to be?
For me it will be tough, but I would take 1984 it's my personal favorite and top to bottom their best album I think.
What do you think?

Tough call. I think I would take the first album. Although, 1984 and Fair Warning wouldn't be bad choices either.

I guess it would have to be BEST OF so I can have a nice spectrum of all VH's classics.

Chances are BOV1 but what I would do if I could is make my own Best Of via burning the cds.Of course you'd have to have one but I know someone who does.

Thats a tough one. Probably Best Of, but if it had to be another, probably Fair Warning. Thats too tough to answer.

Fair Warning wins, but 1984, VH1 and WACF are really close.

If I can get away with burning one I will. If not I take Fair Warning. Never can get tired of it.

That is near impossible to decide. I usually travel with two or three each of Van Halen and Led Zep because you never know. But the very first CD that I bought when I finally switched over from vinyl was the first, and I was late to work this morning searching for the damn thing, so I guess if I was forced down to just one, then VHI would be it. Quintessential Van Halen. I think I'll bring it with me to the hereafter.

I would take BOV1 but if you are talking non-live, non-greatest hits, that's a tough call. I love VH1 for it's raw sound but 1984 is appealing for it's all-around sound.
Looks like I'd take the first one.

Yeah, taking BOV1 or RHRN seems like a cheap answer. I'd go with WACF, probably the most diverse album the original 4 put out.

For me, it'd be a toss up between Fair Warning or 1984. I'd probably take 1984 'cause I think it's a little longer.
